Political socialisation is an important process for the state to cultivate qualified"political people" and an important part of the state's efforts to cultivate citizens'political awareness and identity consciousness.In the context of the diversification of social trends,the complex information available affects the value judgements and value choices of junior high school students.Junior high school is a critical period for school education to promote the formation and shaping of political socialization of individuals in society.Effectively strengthening junior high school students'"political identity education"is not only conducive to the full implementation of the fundamental task of the Party and the State to establish moral education,but also important for the formation of a healthy and upward-looking political consciousness of junior high school students and the long-term stability of the country.The article first defines the core concept of political identity education,systematically sorts out the contents of the teaching materials involving political identity education,and explains the theoretical basis of political identity education,the psychological process of the formation of junior high school students' political identity,and the importance of political identity education for junior high school students in the teaching of Morality and the Rule of Law.Then,through questionnaires and interviews,we analyse the current situation of political identity education in the teaching of Morality and the Rule of Law in junior high schools.This paper argues that the current political identity education for junior high school students in the teaching of Ethics and the Rule of Law has achieved positive results in two aspects:Firstly,junior high school students have a solid grasp of the basics of political identity,Secondlyjunior high school students' overall political identity emotions are in a healthy state.However,there are also problems such as "teachers' research on political theory knowledge is not deep enough,lack of diversification in teaching methods of political identity education,the lack appeal of political identity education curriculum,singleness in the evaluation system of political identity education,and the need to enhance students'enthusiasm to participate in political identity practice".The reasons for this are mainly attributed to "the lack of teachers' teaching theories and professionalism;the test-based education philosophy restricting the exploration of teaching methods in political identity education;the insufficient development and use of political identity education curriculum resources;the unsound establishment of the evaluation mechanism of political identity education teaching;and the external complex environment weakening students' participation in political identity".After that,in view of the above problems and their attribution,this paper proposes optimization strategies from five dimensions:"teachers should improve their political theory literacy and enhance their ability to educate people with political identity;innovate course teaching methods and enrich students' emotional experience of political;thorough explore course teaching resources and enhance the charm of political identity classroom teaching;improve the teaching construct a political identity environment and focus on The five dimensions of multi-dimensional and unified educational effect",in order to improve the teaching quality of political identity of junior high school students in the teaching of Morality and Rule of Law.
