| With the rapid physical and psychological development of children, after entering the fifth and sixth grade of primary school, informal cliques sprang up at an accelerated rate,it has a great impact on the healthy growth of students and class management. This study takes a senior grade class of X primary school affiliated to a bureau in Jiaozhou City,Qingdao as an example, this paper emphatically investigates the formation reasons, development conditions and main characteristics of the informal groups in the upper grades of the primary school, and puts forward some suggestions on how to strengthen the management.Based on the rich achievements of informal group studies at home and abroad, this study fully investigated the target schools by means of interviews. We can see informal groups are common in the upper grades of X primary school,There are both objective factors, such as sharing a common living and learning space for a long time, and subjective factors, such as the need for self-identification and the need to communicate with like-minded partners.According to the effect, the informal groups of the upper grades in primary schools can be divided into three types: positive, negative and intermediate, which have different influences on class management and individual students. The study found that although informal groups exist widely in the class, some head teachers and teachers actively ignore them, which leads to the reduction of class management efficiency. Some teachers even insist on forcibly suppressing informal groups, thus hurting the self-esteem of many informal group members and causing many unnecessary conflicts. In view of the above problems, this study puts forward several suggestions to improve the management of informal groups in classes, such as formulating management strategies for different informal groups, strengthening the communication between teachers and key members of informal groups, and forming educational joint force through home-school cooperation.Hope that the above measures can promote the healthy development of class informal groups. |
