At present,China is experiencing a great change that has not happened in a hundred years.With the change of world pattern and development trend,countries put forward higher requirements for talent training standards.In the face of complex problems,the perspective of comprehensive ability and multidisciplinary integration is more conducive to the solution of problems.STEM education integrates science,technology,engineering and mathematics,pays attention to the connection between disciplines,improves students' ability to find,analyze and solve problems,and promotes the development of students' individuality and creativity.Therefore,the combination of STEM education concept,project-based teaching and primary school science teaching can provide a reference for primary school science teachers in science curriculum design.Aiming at the current situation of primary school science teaching,this paper combs the relevant literature of STEM education and primary school science teaching,and understands the existing STEM education mode,the current situation of primary school science teaching and the related theoretical concepts.On this basis,the general idea of STEM education and the goal of science curriculum in primary school are analyzed,and the principle of project based primary school science teaching design is summarized.Under the guidance of STEM concept,project-based teaching and "primary school science curriculum standards",this paper constructs the project-based primary school science teaching mode under STEM concept,namely "IPPS" teaching mode."IPPS" teaching mode mainly includes four stages and eight steps.The four stages are information processing stage,design planning stage,engineering practice stage and achievement display stage.The eight steps are task information acquisition,scientific principle acquisition,task planning,product design,task correction,product production,product display and evaluation feedback.The research results show that the project-based primary school science teaching mode under STEM concept can promote the development of students' scientific inquiry ability,help to cultivate students' critical and innovative spirit,and help to achieve the difficult points in the primary school science curriculum objectives-science,technology,society and environment objectives.Through two teaching practices,it is found that in the actual teaching process,teachers should reasonably arrange class hours to ensure sufficient practice in the process of exploration and practice;Reasonable grouping,full respect for the wishes of students,to ensure the efficiency of learning;To build a team of teachers to ensure the efficiency of classroom learning.On this basis,carrying out the project-based primary school science teaching under the STEM concept can make the teaching effect get twice the result with half the effort.Of course,there is still a lot of room for development for the research of the project-based primary school science teaching mode under the STEM concept.The construction of STEM education resource database and reasonable teaching evaluation system can better play the role of STEM education.
