| With the advent of the era of knowledge economy,the demand for high quality and compound talents is getting higher and higher.STEM education has played a huge role in improving the overall national strength and international competitiveness of the United States.In recent years,China’s demand for technical and comprehensive talents is increasing,and the quality requirements for relevant talents are also getting higher and higher,and new requirements are put forward for the talent training system.The great success of STEM education in the United States has a strong reference significance for the reform of basic education in China.Both STEM education and comprehensive practice activities focus on interdisciplinary learning and the application of comprehensive knowledge,contributing to the cultivation of versatile and high-quality talents.This paper uses literature analysis,questionnaire survey,interview method,action research method and other research methods,based on STEM education concept,centering on high school chemistry comprehensive practice activities to carry out relevant theoretical discussion and empirical research.First,on the basis of consulting a large number of literature,the author summarized the research status of STEM education at home and abroad,defined the research framework of this topic,and dug deeply into STEM education content in high school chemistry textbooks.According to the principle of close connection with life,the principle of interest,the principle of highlighting the characteristics of chemistry subject,the principle of openness,the principle of multi-disciplinary integration,and the principle of highlighting the characteristics of engineering,the comprehensive practice activities of high school chemistry based on STEM education concept were designed.Second,on the basis of theoretical research,the empirical research is carried out.In empirical activities prior to the start of sichuan yilong Maan part of middle school chemistry teacher interviews,surveyed the school chemistry teacher for STEM education and know the situation of comprehensive practical activities,and to carry out the situation,and then to sichuan yilong Maan middle school class 1,senior as the research object,using the preparation in advance before the class STEM literacy questionnaire for students in a pretest,Learn about students’ STEM literacy,and then use the comprehensive practice case 1 of high school chemistry based on STEM education concept--Making "Power Car" to conduct the practice.After the activity,use the STEM literacy questionnaire to conduct a post-test for students to test the changes of students’ STEM literacy.Finally,some students were selected for interviews to understand their views on this activity and their gains.Thirdly,the data were summarized and analyzed.The research showed that the comprehensive practice of chemistry based on STEM education concept could effectively improve students’ STEM literacy,and the effect of improving girls’ STEM literacy was significantly better than that of boys.The comprehensive practice of chemistry based on STEM education concept was an important way to drive students’ learning motivation.It can provide a new teaching method for chemistry teachers,and is conducive to cultivating students’ ability to solve practical problems across disciplines.Fourth,through this study,it is suggested that schools should from many aspects to provide guarantee for the implementation of the comprehensive practical activities,the implementation based on STEM education concept of chemical synthesis practice should pay attention to the education of emotional attitude,should be reasonable setting group number,chemistry teachers should fully refined chemical knowledge and engineering problems combining site,STEM literacy assessment into the student’s academic evaluation system. |
