Encouraging the elderly to participate in mutual support for the aged can not only effectively alleviate the social pressure brought by aging,but also provide opportunities for the elderly to give full play to their professional knowledge or skill,meet their energetic cultural demands and social communication needs,so as to improve their life happiness.Mutual support,as a new mode aid pension,advocates young elderly volunteers to provide high-quality and appropriate services for the elderly,which puts forward certain requirements for the ability of volunteers.Among them,communication ability is one of the core abilities that volunteers need to have,and it also affects the participation enthusiasm of young elderly volunteers.Social work have a strong consistency in promoting the communication ability of young elderly volunteers.In short,social work not only focuses on the development of good communication between people,but also relies on the advantages of professional values and professional methods to explore the feasible path to improve the communication ability of young elderly volunteers.Based on this,it is very significant to develop social work to promote the communication ability of young elderly volunteers.This study takes the young elderly volunteers in the X community mutual support service team as the research object,and uses non participatory observation and semi-structured interview to investigate the communication situation of the young elderly volunteers in the community mutual support service.Based on Spitzberg's division of communication ability dimensions,this paper attempts to clarify the difficulties and influencing factors of communication cognition and communication skills of young elderly volunteers,and provides solutions and strategies combined with social work professional theories and methods.The study found that the young elderly volunteers have weak communication cognition and lack of communication skills,such as "not clear","not understand","not hear","not do" and so on.After in-depth analysis,it is clear that the improvement of communication ability of young elderly volunteers is affected by individual factors such as insufficient internal cognition and skills,as well as community factors such as insufficient external attention and imperfect support system.This study focuses on the rationality and feasibility of social work intervention in improving the communication ability of young elderly volunteers from four aspects: providing value guidance,meeting the actual needs,providing professional methods and the fit of communication theory.And from the two levels of young elderly volunteers and their communities,this paper puts forward feasible strategies for social work to promote the improvement of communication ability,promote the healthy development of community mutual-support for the elderly,and relieve the pressure of social support for the aged.
