A Study On The Cultivation Methods Of Elderly Volunteers In Urban Community

Recently,social work has developed rapidly as a special task.Community social work is one of the important working methods of social work,and it also occupies a large proportion in the practice of social work institutions.The development of community social work is inseparable from community volunteers.Among them,community elderly volunteers are one of the important resources.It is an important task to cultivate elderly volunteers in urban communities in the task of social workers.Therefore,this study aims to explore ways and strategies for cultivating elderly volunteers in urban communities in social work practices.The study combines participatory observations with unstructured interviews,a preliminary exploratory study of how older volunteers are trained in the community.This study is based on active aging and role identification.Taking T-street in Beijing as a case,an empirical study was conducted on the cultivation process of community-aged volunteers in the “public welfare lecturer” project in the street.The main subject of this study is elderly volunteers in urban community volunteers,analyzing the group characteristics and advantages of elderly volunteers.Taking the “public interest lecturer” project of T Street as an example,the needs of the service objects and the relationship between the elderly volunteers and the service objects are analyzed in combination with the basic situation of the communities in T Street.It also expounds the process of cultivating elderly volunteers in the community under the guidance of social work professional theory and analyzes the practical strategies and skills of social work involved in the cultivation of elderly volunteers in urban communities.Finally,the paper analyzes the evaluation and effectiveness of the project and summarizes the ways in which social work is involved in the cultivation of elderly volunteers in urban communities.
