Classical Chinese learning is the learning of both our mother tongue and culture,which plays an irreplaceable role in the inheritance and development of outstanding traditional culture.The classical Chinese text spreads traditional cultures and spirits among the words and between the lines,which helps develop students' personality and improve their Chinese language literacy.The Chinese textbook of universal compiling has more classical Chinese texts compared with other editions of Chinese textbooks in primary schools,and advances the learning of classical Chinese to the third grade,which enables elementary students to read literary classics and expose to excellent traditional culture earlier.The relation between language and literature has always been a research hot spot in the teaching of classical Chinese.Due to inadequate knowledge on the essence of its learning and the curriculum goals,there has been a simple sum between language and literature and a misplaced emphasis on either of them among other problems that are commonly seen in the front-line classroom teaching of classical Chinese.This paper,based on the understanding of the text features of classical Chinese and elementary students' cognitive rules,as well as using some relevant theories such as exegesis and the theory of primary Chinese teaching after sorting the relations between language and literature,introduced a teaching method that combines language and literature for the teaching of classical Chinese in primary schools.Classical Chinese reading is to exercise the ability of reading classical Chinese texts by learning literature and language,which aims to improve students' ability to perceive emotions and comprehend connotations in the text through basic language training,instead of lingering on the literal meaning of each word.On the one hand,start exploring the connotation of literature with a basic understanding of language by the method of exegesis,from three perspectives:focusing on different meanings of key words in ancient and modern times,studying the key points of the combination of language and literature,and avoiding too much study on certain words as request by some texts,so as to reach the essence of literature and grasp the philosophies delivered by the text.In the meanwhile,attention should be paid to the tonality and function words in the text,and emphasis put on chant reading while savoring the sequence of thoughts in the text to experience ones' emotional and cultural inspirations in the reading.On the other hand,explore the cultural nature of language with a deep comprehension of literature,which means to study the cultural factors and outstanding traditional culture behind the words.As the classical texts compiled into the universal textbook are mostly original classical Chinese of short stories,take advantage of the margins along with the text to explore the combination of language and literature in a way of storytelling in multiple layers,and train students' ability of thinking and expression at the same time.Besides,with the understanding of the feature that language changes with literature,make a two-way combination of language and literature by connecting theme cultures,tracing backgrounds,connecting original texts or transferring themes.In the practice of Classical Chinese teaching in primary schools based on the combination of language and literature,which is used to test the feasibility of the strategy,constantly modify and improve the teaching design,and reflect on the shortcomings of the study and the space for improvement in the practice.
