As an important part of Chinese excellent traditional culture,"feelings for the country" is a basic part for students to form a correct emotional attitude and values.At present,there are still some problems in geography teaching,such as the insufficient and difficult cultivation of students’ feelings for home and country.Local geography resources,as the most familiar geography course resources around students,play an excellent role in realizing the three-dimensional cultivation goals,especially the goals of emotional attitude and values.Therefore,in geography teaching,local geography resources are an important material for students to cultivate their feelings of home and country.This paper adopts the methods of literature research,questionnaire survey,interview,field investigation and expert evaluation to carry out theoretical and practical research on the application of local geographical resources and the cultivation of feelings for home and country as well as the relationship between them.First,through a large number of literature reading,the relevant concepts are clarified,the research status at home and abroad is understood,the research direction is determined,and the connection between local geographical resources and the feelings of home and country is elaborated.Secondly,through the investigation of resources in shijingshan district and teachers and students in junior high school,it is found that there are many scattered studies in the application process of rural geographical resources at the present stage,and there is a lack of effective integration of rural geographical resources.The teacher’s teaching task is heavy,cannot develop the local geography resources systematically;The application degree of local geographical resources of teachers is different,and there is a lack of relevant training.The local geographical resources selected from the perspective of students are less;The application of local geographical resources in geographical practice needs to be strengthened.On the basis of theoretical research and investigation,has been clear about the development and application of local geographical resources should follow the principle of selective,moderation principle,efficiency principle,developmental principle,cooperative principle,put forward the construction of basic database,the lower local geographical resources provide teachers for the conditions of the local geographical resources research,organization and teachers training of local geographical resources application,attaches great importance to the use of students’ learning experience in teaching resources,strengthening the local geographical resources in practice,the application of these five strategies.Finally,from the traditional classroom and outside the classroom to design and implement the application of rural geography resources in shijingshan district to cultivate students’ feelings of home and country teaching example.It is hoped that these strategies and examples can provide some inspiration and reference for teachers in the process of applying local geographical resources and cultivating their feelings for home and country.
