Abstract/Summary:
It is an important goal of geography education and also a requirement of basic geography education reform to cultivate students’ geography core accomplishment.The development and utilization of local geography course can on the one hand cultivate students’ concept of human and land and regional cognition,and improve the core geographical literacy;On the other hand,it is of great significance to the development of teachers and schools.In this thesis,based on junior middle school new geography curriculum standards,based on the national curriculum reform,the local geography curriculum research progress at home and abroad,the institute agrestic geography kicked off and utilization present situation as the background,to explore development institute agrestic geography course,through the teaching design and case to verify feasibility and effectiveness,to provide reference for development and application of institute of local geography course,To improve the current situation that there is no directly available local geography teaching materials,and to some extent promote the basic geography education reform in Xingguo County.Through the questionnaire survey of some junior middle school teachers and students in Xingguo county,it is found that there are some teaching materials of local geography that can not be directly used in the development and utilization of local geography curriculum in Xingguo County.Teachers’ consciousness and ability to develop local geography curriculum are weak;Students do not understand the local geography curriculum,not enough understanding native geography and other problems.In view of these problems,we should strengthen the research on the development and utilization of the local geography curriculum in Xingguo County,develop the local geography curriculum and carry out case studies,promote the local geography curriculum,improve the enthusiasm of teachers to participate in the development and utilization of the curriculum,and improve the interest of students in learning local geography.Xingguo County has rich natural and human geographical resources.The natural environment of Xingguo is distinctive.As an old revolutionary base area,the revolutionary culture,red culture and red tourism resources are extremely rich and well-known,and the local geography curriculum resources are abundant.In developing rural geography curriculum,we should abide by the principles of comprehensiveness,scientificity and interest.Emphasis should be given to the selection of teaching content.The natural environment elements with distinctive regional characteristics such as topography,climate and rivers;Administrative division,population,industry and agriculture,red culture,red tourist attractions and other cultural elements with "local flavor" can be used as the key content for teaching design and practice.The teaching design and implementation of "Walking into Xingguo Landscape" and "Red Culture Passed on from generation to generation" verify the validity and practicability of the curriculum content of native geography developed in this thesis.From the results of the implementation of teaching cases,students’ cognition level of local geography knowledge is not high;Students’ geographical thinking ability is not strong;Geographical core literacy is lacking.In order to change this situation,more local geography knowledge should be integrated into the geography teaching design in the future,so as to guide students to use geography knowledge to explain the geographical phenomena around them,improve their geographical thinking ability,and pay attention to the cultivation of students’ geographical core literacy in the teaching process.
