Chinese Language teaching in the Philippines can be divided into two categories according to the different teaching objects.One is Chinese language teaching for Ethnic Chinese,overseas Chinese and Foreign citizen of Chinese origin,and the other is Chinese as a second language teaching for mainstream social groups.In 2011,the Philippine Department of Education incorporated Chinese into the National Education System,and the teaching of Chinese as a second language has developed rapidly in mainstream Philippine Public High Schools.In recent years,the problems of Chinese teaching in Public High Schools are gradually exposed,among which the lack and inapplicability of Chinese textbooks have become an important bottleneck in the development of Chinese teaching.Therefore,according to the actual situation of Chinese teaching in Public High Schools,it is urgent to compile and develop a set of local textbooks suitable for them.This paper firstly analyzes the Chinese teaching environment in Public High Schools in the Philippines,including social environment,educational environment and classroom environment,and puts forward the requirements of teaching environment for the localization of textbooks from these three perspectives.Then,it expounds the current use of Chinese textbooks in Public High Schools in the Philippines,and analyzes the existing problems of Chinese textbooks in the Philippines.At the end of the paper the localization based on the Public High Schools textbooks of realistic requirements and the existing problems in the textbooks,for the Philippines Public High Schools Chinese teaching how to write a proposal for localization is put forward,include to compiling textbooks design localization,the Philippine Chinese textbooks written texts,exercises,pronunciation,vocabulary,syntax and culture textbook content localization,the localization and the subsequent development of compiling. |
