In the current era of urbanization in China, more and more rural young people are beginning to migrate to cities.Under such a realistic background, rural families rushing into the city to buy houses for their children has become a universal economic phenomenon in the society, and it is also a social phenomenon worthy of in-depth study. It can be seen that the basic structure of China's rural society is disintegrating, the intergenerational support mechanism is changing, and the intergenerational relationship between parents and children is characterized by "reciprocity and imbalance".This article is based on a field survey of farmers in Sanjia Village in Northeast China, and attempts to include the behavior of rural families helping children buy a house in the city into the intergenerational relationship of the family.Through the inter-generational resource flow and interaction process between parents and children in the family purchase process, reflect on the current generational relationship of rural families.Based on the definition of related concepts, related theories, and domestic and foreign literature, this article uses in-depth interviews and participatory observations to research methods, and specifically discusses the specific factors that lead to the current enthusiasm of rural families entering the city to buy a house. The model of "reciprocity and imbalance" presented by intergenerational relations in the process of buying a house has brought forward the innovation of this research.Intergenerational support and exchange of family resources are analyzed using the perspective of intergenerational contradiction. From the aspects of marriage asking price and educational resources, the rationale behind the measures that influence rural families to choose to buy a house in the city is analyzed. And irrational reasons.In-depth interviews were conducted within the family, focusing on the changes in intergenerational relationships brought about by the parents when they settled in the city.Through the comparison of life between the two generations before and after buying a house and their own situation,it is demonstrated that the parent association will respond to the occurrence of intergenerational conflicts through "transition and adaptation","compromise and concession" and "retreat and interruption".Intergenerational emotions are also rebuilt during the cohabitation process.
