The four main literary genres in junior high school Chinese textbooks,namely novels,poems,dramas,proses,and common practical writing,constitute the basic content of junior high school Chinese curriculum.Among them,the novel genre has become an important content in Chinese curriculum,especially for its story and interest.However,at this stage,due to the lack of research on novel teaching;teachers are limited to class hours,and only do simple genre and content introduction of novels;students only have a general understanding of novels for the purpose of exam taking,which leads to serious problems in both teachers' teaching and students' learning.Therefore,It is the most realistic problem to study the teaching and learning methods of novel genre in junior high school Chinese curriculum.Based on the narrative and fictionality of novels,this paper focuses on three teaching methods: the summary of teaching content,the analysis of genre elements,and comparative analysis,as well as two learning methods: content performance and description.According to the current situation of novel teaching research,important literature at all times and abroad,as well as personal experience in the process of teaching,this paper consists of the following four parts.The first part introduces the current situation of junior high school Chinese teaching,and puts forward the suggestions that teachers and students should focus on the text through the reflection of the problems in teaching.The second part puts forward that in the teaching process,teachers should take the characteristics of genre and novel content as the main teaching content,and conform to the teaching standards,teaching objectives and students' level.The third part introduces several teaching methods and learning methods.The fourth part designs the teaching content,and conform to the teaching standards,teaching objectives and students' level.The third part introduces several teaching methods and learning methods.The fourth part designs the teaching objectives by citing three famous foreign works.Novels are indispensable in junior high school Chinese curriculum.Therefore,the level of novel teaching is also related to the improvement of junior high school students' Chinese literacy.According to the existing teaching experience,the author explores the effective strategies to improve the teaching effect of junior high school Chinese novel reading,for peer reference.
