Entering the new era,the opportunities and risks of human development interweave and overlap,making the world in a century with big change.The global interaction triggered by information technology and network digital media,coupled with Western ideology and values,has a direct impact on the stability and development of the world.At the same time,the negative influence brought by the prevalence of Postmodernism leads to the deviation of the Chinese cognition of their own country values,thus,the importance of national identity has become increasingly significant.As the most important material for teaching and learning,textbooks are not only the media for knowledge transmission,but also the important carrier of cultivating national identity.Chinese textbooks are committed to the integration of instrumentality and humanism,and have a mission in national identity education.Based on this,discussing the national identity content in the junior Chinese textbooks compiled by the Ministry has important theoretical and practical value.On the basis of relevant theories,this research develops national identity into three main categories: ethnic identity,institutional identity and cultural identity,and then divides them into 18 sub-categories,including ethnic identity,living territory and historical memory.Then,using the method of literature and the method of content analysis,the author makes a quantitative analysis of the contents of national identity in the text system of the junior Chinese textbooks compiled by the ministry,in order to present the results of the main categories as a whole,the results of the main categories and the distribution of each category.At the same time,classroom observation and interview method are used to collect data on the basic use of national identity selections.It is found that the selections of national identity contents in the junior Chinese textbooks compiled by the ministry have the following five characteristics: the genres involve a wide range and the arrangement system is strict;the cultural identity is emphasized and the disciplinary advantages are carried forward;the ethnic identity is obvious and the institutional identity is also included;the lack of epochal and the documentary character,and the tension between the politics and the literature.In view of this,this research proposes the following four measures.Firstly,moderately enrich the selections concerning to the new century to bring out the value of the times;Secondly,while paying attention to the universal and scientific nature of the text,its relevance to modern society should be also minded;Thirdly,the interpretation of the national identity text should take into account its aesthetic value and educational significance;Fourthly,when in the learning field,teachers and students jointly reveal the meaning of the selections,to emotion-led national identity through equal dialogue.
