| General technology is a compulsory course in high school.The concept of the course is to educate students in technology through doing and thinking so as to cultivate students’ key competence of the subject.Project-based teaching method is a teaching method based on project learning,also known as project teaching or project teaching mode.This teaching method takes "projects centered,teachers’ guiding and students as the main body" to carry out practical inquiry learning activities to improve students’ problem-solving ability.Combining the literature and the author’s teaching practice,it is believed that the project-based teaching method is consistent with the teaching concept of general technology course and can help to realize teaching goals.However,the application process and effects of this teaching method in rural high schools have yet to be verified.The research idea of this research is "literature review---project design---project implementation---results and analysis".Taking Chang’an No.12 Middle School in Xi’an as an example,the research participants are first-year students in senior high school,and the research plan is based on literature research.All the data processed by SPSS16.0 are analyzed to get the implementation effects of the project-based teaching method.Research conclusion: The practical learning characteristics of project-based teaching method meet the requirements of general technology course and can significantly improve the comprehensive ability of students.Project-based teaching method has the following advantages: 1.Teaching activities are carried out through learning by doing and students’ interest in learning technology course can be achieved by completing the tasks within their abilities;2.Students’ satisfaction of general technology course is significantly improved;3.Students’ technical abilities such as cooperative learning ability,communicative ability and problems solving ability are improved.The suggestions in the general technology course of rural high schools are summarized based on the research:(1)Renovate waste materials withlarge space can be chosen as materials,such as mobile phone packaging boxes,food packaging cans etc.A4 paper also can be used because the operation space is large,and the processing difficulty can be graded.These materials are characterized by low cost,easy collection,and environmental protection;(2)Projects should be close to students’ life.And students should be encouraged to discover actively,which can increase their participation and help them get a sense of accomplishment at the same time;(3)Students of arts and science have different satisfaction with project cases.Teachers should consider the needs of students in different levels when choosing projects and design projects that are suitable for students of different levels. |
