Technology course is the focus of the curriculum reform. Technology course's target is to bring up students'technology literacy and initiative spirit. At the present time, technology course will be open at the whole country. So we must establish technology teaching theory for the technology teaching. At present, the research on the practice learning of general technology curriculum is just in the beginning stage and it's theoretic construction is not complete. But the widespread use of Project-Based Learning has broken through the limitation of the traditional classroom teaching, namely the "teacher-centred, textbooks-centred and classroom-centred" teaching model, which helps to realize the transformation from teaching-centred to learning-centred, the integration of theory and practice, the integration of school education and social education, the unity of learning and using knowledge, and the cultivation of students' professional knowledge, and the cultivation of students' professional knowledge, business skills, methods, social capabilities, and so on.Research in this report discussing each step of work, which apply project-based learning to teaching of making simple photo frame, providing an operational pattern in application of project-based learning in other course learning.This paper is composed by four chapters. Chapter 1 has analyzed background and Research status, the methods of this research; Chapter 2 has discussed project-based learning's concept, elements, teaching objectives, and implementation procedures. A project comprises several connected tasks, in order to realize curriculum aims, correlative principles should be observed when choosing the project. In addition, project-based learning comprises four elements, such as content, activity, situation and outcome. And using project-based learning should follow six steps, such as selecting project, planning, exploring activities, making works, communicating and estimating. These steps interrelated with each other. Only if every step and element be contacted tightly, the teaching on basis of project-based learning can run successfully. Detailed process of applying project-based learning to teaching of making simple photo frame has been introduced in chapter 3; and chapter 4 has reviewed and summarized the advantages and the disadvantages of PBL. Project-based learning has several advantages as follows, realizing the instructional aims easily, harmonizing the relationship between teachers and students, developing students' creativity and problem-solving abilities, hastening the relation between learning and life. Meanwhile, it has some disadvantages, such as students cannot attain systematic knowledge, classroom management is hard, demanding high level instructional resource and so on. So the school should think over when using project-based learning.
