| The aim of the present study was to investigate the feasibility and the learning effect of appling "Project teaching method" to General Technology curriculum which based on the LEGO Robot for high school students.This study used LEGO educational robot as practice platform, selected Control and Design which was the fourth unit of Technology and Design II as practical cases.The experimenter was26students of a school-based curriculum from the Affiliated High School of Fujian Normal University.The instruments of the study included Smart Fan Control System project design manual, the self-evaluation form of lego project-based learning,the teaching effectiveness questionnaire of lego project-based learning.After four weeks,the teaching practice lasted totally8classes.Teaching activities required students to discuss and solve problems by groups, to understand the main of knowledge, and then complete the project tasks to achieve the teaching objectives listed in this course.At the end of this study,the feasible instructional design, the implementation procedure, related manuals, evaluation materials for "the Project teaching method baised on LEGO robot" were presented.The results of this study showed as follows:(1)"The Project teaching method based on LEGO robot" can be applied to the General Technology curriculums.(2)"The Project teaching method based on LEGO robot" can partly increase students’s instuctional effectiveness at high schools General Techonology curriculums.(3)"The Project teaching method based on LEGO robot" can increase most students’s learning interest,division and cooperation ability,and develop their innovative thinking ability. Finally,according to the above results,this research makes the suggestions from three aspects in combination of teaching based on LEGO,Project teaching method,teachers knowledge and competence for further studies of related fields. |
