Translated and original languages not only influence but also integrate into each other,working together to promote the development of the original language.Translated languages,as a kind of language variation,often have no clear boundaries with the original languages in real life.They enjoy equal status with original languages and play a significant role in language acquisition and language development.Considering the particularity of translated texts and the importance of textbooks for native language learners,this research uses Chinese textbooks for elementary and junior and senior high school students as the research object and constructs a monolingual comparable corpus of Chinese language acquisition,which incorporates an original Chinese corpus and a translated Chinese corpus,attempting to answer the following questions.First,what are the lexical and syntactic similarities and differences between original and translated Chinese? Second,in what aspects does the translated Chinese deviate from or follow original Chinese“norms”? Third,is there a trend of integration between translated and original Chinese? Two sub-corpora are compared with the aid of several indicators,such as standardized type/token ratio,lexical density,specific parts of speech,high-frequency words,average sentence length,average sentence segment length,typical sentence constructions,load capacity of constructions.A loglikelihood ratio is used to investigate whether there is a significant difference between the two sub-corpora – if there is a significant difference,the translated Chinese may deviate significantly from the original Chinese;if there is no significance,the original and translated Chinese may have a tendency of integration,so as to examine whether there are similarities between translated and original Chinese at macro and micro levels.It is found that in Chinese textbooks translated Chinese deviates from the original Chinese in terms of high-frequency words,lexical density,average sentence length,personal pronouns,etc.,while there is no significant difference between original and translated Chinese in terms of standardized type/token ratio,distribution of parts of speech,average sentence segment length,bei(?,passive)constructions,load capacity of dang…shi(?……?,when...)constructions.Therefore,it may be concluded that although translated Chinese shows some differences from original Chinese,original Chinese has been influenced by translated Chinese to some extent and they show a certain tendency of integration.
