On January 1, 1912, with the birth of the Republic of China, feudal autocratic monarchy extending over two thousand years of Chinese has gone with the wind, and the concept of the Democratic Republic has won popular. The success of political change has accelerated the pace of educational reform. As the introduction of "Interim Measures of general education" and "provisional curriculum standards of general education", the prelude to the education reform was open. Textbook, as carrier under some background of practical experience in a variety of education reform, education and teaching theories, disciplines and professional expertise and technological development level and the concrete embodiment of curriculum goals and curriculum content should be the first in the changing of the social tide. The primary and secondary school textbooks, as the best expression of various changes in the text, have a more normative text than any other textbooks, especially the Chinese, mathematics, history and other humanities disciplines can best reflect the characteristics of the times. At the same time, it was the early Republican's demand for a large number of textbooks and unsmooth book distribution channels that made the entire publishing industry are rushing to the publication of textbooks. Regime change is also an opportunity to rise to the Zhonghua Book Company. Therefore, the established Commercial Press was engaged in a fierce competition. Besides, the different interpretations of the curriculum standards of the authors of made the textbook of the period present diverse features.With the deepening of education reform and the promotion of the implementation of the new curriculum, especially in July 2001, "Basic Education Curriculum Reform Program (Trial)" was enacted, which made the People's Education Press and other publishers organized experts and teachers write the experimental materials. The writing of teaching materials showed a prosperous sight. But we have to see the past as a starting point to guess the direction of future development of the Chinese textbooks. The future can only be an extension of the past. Today's language textbooks can only be on the basis of the existence and development of yesterday's language textbooks. The purpose of this study was to provide reference and inspiration for China's current primary school language textbook.In this study, the author uses comparison and content analysis to analyze"Textbooks for the new system in Chinese"and"New Chinese textbooks of the Republic", and finds that there are many differences in literacy, the election and illustrations. And on this basis, the author analyzes the impact and inspiration on today's Chinese textbooks of the two sets of textbooks.The study includes the following three parts:Part One: Introducing school education system reform in late Qing, education reform in the primary of early Republican, and analyzing the background of the two sets of textbook.Part Two: With the text of the two sets of textbooks as the research object, comparing and analyzing the content and the characteristics of layout from three aspects of the literate writing, the election of and illustrations, and giving a brief commentary.Part Three: Analyzing the impact of education experience gained from the two sets of textbooks, a variety of educational trends before and after the New Culture Movement, educational concept changes on the modernization of the Chinese and modern Chinese textbook.
