Since2001, the new curriculum reform throughout the country gradually went into the process, started using the new standard and new textbooks, breaking the original situation of People’s Education Press dominant the whole country, presenting flourishing situation. Along with the pace of reform, however, many problems appearing constantly hinder the process of reform, among that, the teaching material is not adaptive to the pace of new curriculum reform is assignable problem to be solved. This article selects the most widely used Chinese textbooks for high school and the more novel teaching material of senior Chinese textbook for Jiangsu, aiming to explore the merits of the two versions from practice after class of the writings in classical style, explore the reform way of the Chinese textbook for senior high school, especially practice after class in the writings in classical style.Full text is composed of three sections altogether, a total of four chapters. First chapter is the research topic of the definition of related theory in detail, expounds the concept of teaching materials, the writings in classical style and practice after class and their evolution and the important position of Chinese teaching and learning. At the same time, this part is to make a brief review toward to research achievements related to the topic, lay theoretical basis for the research. The second and third chapter are the center parts of the paper, from the two aspects of macroscopic and microscopic, comparing the writings in classical style practice after class of the two versions from the shallower to the deeper.The second chapter focuses on both the number of, layout mode, the training goal and value orientation, and a detailed presentation of intuitive representation of comparative analysis, in order to highlight the characteristics and difference of both. The third chapter, from the perspective of reception aesthetics compares the specific contents of the after-school exercises of them, to further deepen the comparison. Last part is aimed at the comparing results of the two versions and an overview of the advantages and disadvantages of practice after class in order to make every effort to make them more clear, defined, highlighted, to advance the high school language teaching material and provide reference to promote the teaching of writings in classical style in the high school.
