Cooperative learning has been flourishing in China for around 30 years,which has beyond question had its great influence on teaching.However,afer referring to oceans of literature at home and abroad,homogeneous group,as a sort of group cooperative learning modes,has its own advantages and disadvantages compared with heterogeneous one.Through much investigation on the mathematics groups in the ninth grade from the county's schools,the author finds out that the homogeneous group has been widely applied while most of them know little about it.Until now,the understanding of cooperative learning from some middle school teachers is still lying on the heterogeneous groups.On the one hand,many teachers are employing homogeneous grouping.They are,on the other hand,lack of understanding of its relevant theory.In view of this,the author does hope that some guidance strategies in this paper for mathematics teachers in Grade Nine can be taken into consideration.Through the methods of questionnaires and interviews of teachers,the existing problems of the county's homogeneous grouping are analyzed as follows:(1)the collective sense of incompetence of students with learning difficulties;(2)the lack of emotional education in the process of cooperation;(3)the deficiency of guidance concerning hierarchical activities from teachers;(4)the low efficiency of group activities.Combined a variety of literature,by the attribution of the problems existing in the mathematical homogeneity group,the author puts forward a few guidance strategies for teachers:(1)guidance strategies for Teacher – Student Assistance;(2)the skillful usage of various psychological guidance strategies;(3)guidance strategy for hierarchical group activities;(4)guidance strategy to set up conventions for group activities.After the above strategies are employed into the practical class,it is confirmed that the teacher guidance strategy can surely have an excellent effect on improving the cooperative learning of homogeneous group in mathematics.In the meanwhile,a concrete teaching case is included in this paper in order to offer some teaching foundations as well as better serve the students.
