A Study On The Mental Comfort Of The Semi-disabled Elderly In Group Work Intervention

The medical-nursing integrated service center can provide better medical service,material life and day care for the semi-disabled elderly,but there are obvious deficiencies in the provision of spiritual comfort services.Thus,by establishing mutual-aid groups and continuing mutual-aid activities,relying on the day-to-day co-existence and mutual-aid cooperation of the semi-disabled elderly in institutions,in addition to the spiritual comfort of the family or children,it has practical significance and theoretical value to better satisfy the mental comfort of the semi-disabled elderly in the medical center.In this paper,we take the Guiyang S Medical Nursing Center as a case study,aiming at the psychological comfort needs of the semi-disabled elderly in institutions.Through the interview and observation of s center,it is found that the needs of the semi-disabled elderly in the center are quite strong,mainly including the needs of emotional communication,social interaction and cultural entertainment.Therefore,under the guidance of the theory of mutual aid,this paper designs the service scheme of the mental comfort mutual aid group for the semi-disabled elderly and carries out the practice.We found that: due to the strong spiritual comfort needs of the semi-disabled elderly in institutions,relying on their natural advantages of living together day and night,the group motivation formed quickly;It is effective to solve the spiritual comfort needs of the semi-disabled elderly.This paper holds that the spiritual comfort needs of the semi-disabled elderly in the combination of medical and nursing institutions are often diverse and easily neglected.By setting up a mutual aid group for the semi-disabled elderly,relying on the group activities as a mutual aid platform,coordinating and making use of the advantages of other semi-disabled elderly people living together day and night in institutions,the mental comfort needs of the semi-disabled elderly can be met.This kind of mutual aid model based on the half-disabled elderly has certain rationality and applicability in the field of the half-disabled elderly spiritual comfort mutual aid.
