Abstract/Summary:
With the progress of The Times,the one-sidedness of students’ learning physics knowledge under the traditional education mode becomes more and more obvious.The knowledge they learn is unable to have a practical connection with life and society,and students’ interest in physics learning gradually declines.In recent years,STEM education mode has attracted the attention of educators at home and abroad.Different from the traditional teaching mode of subject division,the new STEM education mode breaks the boundary between disciplines and combines Science,Technology,Engineering and Mathematics,which is conducive to the development of students’ comprehensive quality and innovation ability.Incorporating the concept of STEM into high school physics teaching can cultivate students’ interest in physics learning and make them feel the application of what they have learned in life,so as to better conduct teaching.This paper studies the integration of STEM education in high school physics.This paper summarized the current research situation at home and abroad,elaborated on STEM education,and studied the teaching purpose,principles,methods and strategies of integrating STEM education into high school physics teaching.Based on the investigation of the current situation of physics learning in high school students,the author designed a physics teaching case incorporating STEM education model,and explored the problems and solutions faced by the implementation of STEM education model.It is concluded that STEM is a new education model suitable for high school physics teaching.
