Technology and engineering literacy is an important competence for people's life in the intelligent manufacturing era.Since the promulgation of the new curriculum standard of primary school science,China has been carrying out the cultivation of technology and engineering literacy based on primary school science curriculum. However, both the evaluation criteria and the assessment tools are lack. Therefore,it is necessary to construct the corresponding evaluation system, design tools and carry out practice. The research process and results are as follows:Firstly, combining with the literature analysis of the evaluation of students' learning effect and technology and engineering literacy in primary school science curriculum, the content clarified the current research results and defined the connotation of technology and engineering literacy.Next, referring to the primary school science curriculum standards, the technology and engineering literacy framework for the 2018 national assessment of educational progress, and connotation of technology and engineering literacy, the paper constructed the evaluation system of technology and engineering literacy in primary school science curriculum, and explained the definitions of indicators.Following, the science curriculum was divided into three categories: scientific inquiring study, engineering designing study and product oriented study, and the content selected scientific inquiring study curriculum as the assessment practice case. The test paper was compiled and the reliability, validity, difficulty and differentiation of the paper were analyzed by SPSS23.0 software, which showed that the test paper was qualified.Then,80 fourth grade students were taken as the assessment objects to get involved in the exam. The data analysis includes descriptive statistics and difference analysis.Based on the results of the analysis,an interview questionnaire was designed.Nine students in three levels in the dimension of understanding technical principles were interviewed and the materials were analyzed qualitatively. The findings are as follows: in the case, the technology and engineering literacy level of 91.25%of the fourth grade students have achieved good or above level;students' performance in understanding technology principles is concentrated under the average value;there is no significant difference between students' gender, recognition degree of electronic equipment use, course type preference and technology and engineering literacy level;the frequency and hands-on ability of electronic equipment have significant difference in total score, developing solution and achieving goal, communication and cooperation, and have no significant difference in understanding technology principle.Combined with the research results, three suggestions were put forward, including that teachers can pay more attention to students' understanding of technical principles, create more classroom scenes for using electronic equipment, and set up small hands-on tasks outside the classroom.
