Poetry,as a treasure of the Chinese culture,is used to be one of the most typical ways of emotional expression.It carries the ups and downs of the Chinese nation,allowing us to explore how the empire has evolved in political,economic and cultural areas.In the spirit of carrying forward fine Chinese traditional culture,“The Chinese Poetry Competition” comes back to the stage,with poetry fever hitting the whole country.This competition presents a new form for teachers to educate history by introducing poems.On one hand,the program explains lots of historical knowledge which comes as a rich repository of learning materials.On the other hand,it inspires educators in this field to innovate classroom forms because middle school students already have a certain amount of knowledge as well as the expected ability to understand and analyze.Plus they have keen desires for historical knowledge and emotional expression.Current pedagogical materials,however,limit students to learn about history in a broader and deeper way.Whereas introducing poetry and this program to classes can to some extent improve on it.Besides students' needs for knowledge will be satisfied,the values promoted in this program will have a subtle influence on them,which is the human part of history teaching and responses exactly to the new curriculum reform to enhance students' humanistic quality.Channeling poetry into history teaching will enrich class experience and help students better understand their own history and culture,which is conducive to develop kids in an all-round way.With the help of “The Chinese Poetry Competition”,history teachers will be able to integrate poetry with history.Not least in this era of educational modernization,cultural resources that are both recreational and educational are highly accessible,thus poetry's integration with history teaching is quite promising.With the features of poetry,given the value of poetry assisted history teaching.The introduction of poetry into the history teaching of middle schools through mining the historical materials of “The Chinese Poetry Competition” is conducive to giving full play to the historical data value and aesthetic education value of poetry and meeting the requirements of the core accomplishment of history discipline.This is the main content discussed in the first part.Based on past experience,there are still some defects in the application of poetry in history teaching.In the second chapter,the writer describes the current situation and some problems in terms of applying it.In order to effectively improve the application of poetry,the application of poetry conference can make up for the defects to some extent,the third chapter sheds light on how to make “The Chinese Poetry Competition Season 4”serve teaching.The writer gives some typical examples and discusses poetry-applying strategies for different parts of a history class.In the last chapter,after reviewing relevant practices,the writer gives some specific applying suggestions.All in all,this research project aims to relax class atmosphere,achieve the goal of history teaching,and wake up students' love for the Chinese nation's classical poetry and profound history.
