Textbooks are an important carrier of learning content of elementary and middle school students.The outstanding figures in the textbooks are role models for students to imitate,and they have an important influence on students' behavior,thinking methods,psychological characteristics,world outlooks,life outlooks,and values.The characters in textbooks does not come out of imagination,it contains value tendency and represents the country's hope for the younger generation.Teachers,by themselves,have been playing an exemplary role.Words,deeds,personality traits,and even dress and clothing will subtly affect students.Therefore,this paper,based on teachers and the Chinese textbook compiled by the Ministry as research texts,explores what the teacher image looks like in Chinese textbooks as well as their characteristics and what are the factors that influence the image of teachers in textbooks.I hope this paper can provide thinking direction for textbook writing and teaching.The paper is divided into eight parts:The first part is introduction.The first part will explain the purpose and significance of the teacher image in textbooks research and the status quo of researches on ancient and modern Chinese and foreign teacher image,which are the core concepts and the theoretical basis of this research.Finally,the research ideas and methods of this paper will be present.The second part is the framework of teacher image in textbooks analysis.Based on the existing research on the image of teachers in the first part,the writing concept of the Chinese textbook compiled by the Ministry,the characteristics of writing and the particularity of the image of teachers,the analysis framework and methods of this study are proposed.The third part is the statistics of teacher characters in the Chinese textbook compiled by the Ministry.This chapter takes teachers in Chinese textbooks as research objects,and makes statistical analysis on the articles that contain teacher characters and character attributes.The articles that contain teacher characters are statistically analyzed from three aspects: grade,quantity,and location.Teacher attributes are statistically analyzed from gender,ego,nationality,name,teaching subject,and teaching section.The fourth part is the external image of the teacher in the Chinese textbook compiled by the Ministry.This chapter analyzes the image of teachers in Chinese textbooks from three dimensions: teacher's dress,language and facial expression.The fifth part is the internal image of the teacher in the Chinese textbook compiled by the Ministry.Teachers ' internal image is closely related to teachers' professional quality.Therefore,this chapter analyzes teachers in Chinese textbooks from the perspectives of teachers 'professional literacy,ability,morality and personality.The sixth part is the analysis a holistic examination reveals that the image of teachers in textbooks is ideal,lifelike,ideological,and diverse.The seventh part is the analysis of the theoretical perspective of teacher image in the Chinese textbook compiled by the Ministry.The inquiry of teacher's image should not be done superficially.Therefore,this chapter attempts to deeply analyze the influencing factors of the current situation of teacher's image in textbooks from the perspectives of sociology,culture,and communication.The eighth part is the research conclusions and recommendations.Through the analysis of the teacher's attributes,external and internal images,the following conclusions are drawn: gender distribution is uneven for male teachers are dominant,the egos and countries are diverse,state-family feelings are highlighted,positive images appear more frequently than negative images,concentration in both internal and external level,famous teachers and ordinary teachers both appear.Finally,this paper puts forward recommendations from the level of textbook writing and teachers' use,hoping to enlighten the characters forming in textbooks and better teaching for teachers.
