In recent years, with the development of urbanization and the acceleration of aging, more and more elderly people have moved to the cities where their children live in order to take care of them. The immigrant elders have to adapt new social values, new family and social environments. In the process, the elders who move with them often experience a series of social communication dilemmas. This is not only a social phenomenon, but also a social problem. The social dilemma of the relocated elderly is due to the lack of policy guarantees and a sense of identity and belonging to the urban community due to the impact of the household registration system in China. On the other hand,it is caused by the family and the fast-paced urban life.Because of the indifference of family, the family members lack effective communication, and the elderly people who move with them often lack the right to speak in the family and consider themselves marginalized.Lack of belonging in the community, relocated elderly people who lack the right to speak in the family, under the sense of self-efficacy,the lack of social support networks, poor communication with the children in the family, effective communication with peer groups in the community, and the community Activity participation is low,and geopolitical restrictions lead to a gradual weakening of the relationship with the original social relationship. This series of performances will further lead to a vicious circle of social communication dilemmas. This study firstly reads the relevant literature at home and abroad to understand the current status and hotspots of research at home and abroad, and selects a certain theoretical perspective to support it.Based on the Y community in Xi’an,the current situation of the seven elders in the Y community was investigated through a preliminary survey, and a representative client Z who met the definition of this study was selected.Use the method of case intervention to sort out the internal and external resources available to the client, and use related theories to design 6 specific services for the client,so that the client masters family communication skills and restores the lack of the client’s family function; The client communicates with community workers and community residents;enhances the client’s confidence and self-efficacy,and cultivates the client’s ability to solve problems independently. Finally, through the evaluation of this service,we reflect on the problems existing in the service process, and put forward service-level and policy-level suggestions for the problems. This research is mainly divided into 6 parts:The first part is the introduction. In this part, the author first expounds the background and significance of this research, combs related research at home and abroad and forms a literature review, and at the same time defines the concepts mentioned in this research in detail.Secondly, the research methods and theories used in this study are explained, mainly using social support theory, rational emotion theory, socialization theory, etc.as theoretical support, which lays the foundation for subsequent practice. The second part is the status quo analysis. The author elaborates the source and information of the client, and analyzes the social communication dilemma that the client faces and the influencing factors that cause it.The third part is intervention. In this section, the author first explains the intervention process of this research in detail according to the steps of the general model of casework. This intervention was divided into 6 specific services, which solved the social communication dilemma faced by the client through family talks, community interest groups, and community activities. After that, the author uses the evaluation of the service process, the evaluation of the achievement of service goals, and the evaluation of the satisfaction of the service target, etc.,were used to evaluate the intervention, and a follow-up service was carried out.The fourth part is reflection and suggestions. The author summarized the problems encountered in the intervention process and formed the reflection of this research. At the same time,he made relevant suggestions from the service level and the policy level.
