With the acceleration of urbanization, the problem of irrational urban land structures has become increasingly prominent. The educational land for colleges and universities is a special kind of urban land, and its degree of economical and intensive use directly affects the level of urban land intensive use.In recent years, due to the expansion of enrollment in colleges and universities, the original land scale cannot meet the growing demand of students and faculty and staff, and therefore land use of universities and colleges is increasing.Based on this, this paper proposes to select Sichuan Province as the research area and collect basic data such as the number of students, staff size and land use scale in 51 universities in the province, and adopt fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method,multi-factor comprehensive evaluation method and cluster analysis method, etc.Five universities and colleges were selected as research perspectives to analyze the existing land use conditions of the 51 colleges and universities in the province. The fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method and multi-factor comprehensive evaluation method were used to calculate and estimate the intensive use of education land in each university, and cluster analysis was used. The method was used to carry out and test the clustering analysis and classification results of the calculation and calculation results, and finally determine the conservation and intensive utilization level of the educational sites in 51 colleges and universities. Finally,a calculation and analysis of the expansion potential, structural potential, and intensity potential of educational land in Sichuan Province were conducted. The aim is to provide a certain theoretical basis for the future conservation and intensive construction of colleges and universities and sustainable land use.The main conclusions are as follows:(1)The overall utilization of educational land in colleges and universities in Sichuan Province is relatively good. The proportion of land use within the campus is high, and some of the unbuilt land is being constructed according to the planning requirements. There is no long-term idle situation, and it can further meet the requirements of various aspects of the expansion of the school;the layout of campus structure for colleges and universities takes the school building as the main body, while paying attention to the ecological environment.Protection,a high degree of greenery. The structure of college land use corresponds to the type of colleges and universities. In the layout, the needs of the disciplines are fully taken into consideration. The construction sites for the average school building and the average outdoor sports facilities are all reasonable, which ensures the good learning and living space for college students and ensures the colleges and universities. The students have a good outdoor activity space and have a moderate intensity of use.(2)The overall intensive degree of education in colleges and universities in Sichuan is at a medium level, with an average score of 76.01.Among them,5universities are in the high intensive level, accounting for 9.8%,and the highest intensive score is 93.66;33 colleges and universities in 51 colleges are at the higher level of intensive degree, accounting for 64.71%;at a moderate level of intensive There are 10 institutions, accounting for 19.61%,and there are only 3 institutions in the lower intensive level, accounting for 5.89%.There is a polarization between the intensive use of colleges and universities, and the use of land between universities is not balanced. From the point of view of different types of colleges and universities, except for the first major colleges and universities, they are all at a higher level of intensive education, and the avera ge score of the fifth largest category of art colleges is the highest, which is 83.89.(3)The potential of educational land in 51 universities and colleges in Sichuan totals 794.9 hectares. There is ample room for potential exploitation and more reasonable planning can be made in the future construction of school buildings.Among them, there is 156.46 hectares of potential(unbuilt land),287.58 hectares of structural potential, and 299.86 hectares of strength. In terms of different types, the potential is mainly distributed in the second(a type of comprehensive university, normal university, and national college)and third(second-class universities, polytechnics, agriculture, forestry, and medical institutions)largest categories,of which the second largest category has a total potential of 168.45 hectares and the third largest category has a total potential of 536.87 hectares.
