| With the outbreak of COVID-19,international Chinese online teaching has become the future development trend.At present,international Chinese teachers’ ability to apply science and technology can not keep up with the requirements of teaching development,and online Chinese teaching still faces great difficulties.It is necessary for us to research the current online teaching platform and teaching tools.Firstly,this study compared the four functions of eight teaching platforms: class interaction,exercise and test,feedback tracking and class management.We concluded that Rain Classroom has more advantages than other teaching platforms in all aspects,especially in classroom interaction and feedback tracking.In addition,the practice test functions provided by Ding Talk are also rich,the homework series functions of Google Classroom are the most perfect relatively,and the classroom assistant tools of Class In are the most abundant.Secondly,we discussed the advantages and problems of teaching tools.We confirm that teaching tools form IRS feedback through gamified teaching,which is consistent with Constructivism theory and Target structure theory.Thirdly,we take “Developing Chinese(Elementary Comprehensive Course 1)” as the textbook reference,design the teaching platforms and tools into our Chinese class,to provide reference demonstration for international Chinese teachers.And we summarize the positive effects of teaching tools in Chinese class: It fosters students’ ability of independent learning,cultivates students’ ability of interaction and cooperation,increases students’ participation in the class.The ability of technology application has been improved,and the teaching concept of “student-centered” has been formed.It makes up for the fact that online teaching is interactive in a single way,lack of exercise,ineffective performance assessment,lack of classroom management and other problems,and improves the effect of online teaching.At last,we conducted semi-structured interviews with teachers and students,and summarized the current status of Chinese online teaching,the application and effect of teaching platform and tools in Chinese class at home and abroad.Through the interview,we found the following problems existed in teachers’ Chinese online class: The interactive way of teaching in online class is unitary,teachers are liked to use traditional teaching methods,they lack management of online classes and other problems.The main influencing factors are as follows: The low utilization rate of the teaching platforms,the low awareness of the teaching tools,and the low ability of application technology.Based on the above facts,we gave some suggestions from the perspective of teachers: Attaching importance to online teaching design,making full use of the platform functions,using teaching tools rationally,and improving teachers’ ability of information technology application. |
