This structure of“Neng VP1 Jiubu VP2”is a kind of common,typical and frequently used construction in modern Chinese,which is composed of two parts before and after“Neng VP1”and“Jiubu VP2”.Guided by the verb“neng”and the structural adverb“jiu”?negative adverb“bu”,these two parts mainly express the speaker's attitude,suggestion and evaluation,etc,with strong subjectivity,they are mostly used in oral Chinese and this structure has certain research value.Therefore,based on all kinds of major corpora,this paper aims to describe and analyze the construct“Neng VP1 Jiubu VP2”from multiple perspectives,under the guidance of structural grammar theory?structuralistlinguistics,and combined with relevant theories,such as semantics and prag matics.In this paper,the construction of“Neng VP1 Jiubu VP2”is taken as the research object.Based on the theory of structural grammar theory,combined with relevant theories,such as semantics,pragmatics,language teaching and cognitive linguistics,this paper aims to describe and explain the construction of“Neng VP1 Jiubu VP2”in as much detail as possible.The paper consists of four parts.The first part is the introduction,mainly from four aspects of syntax,semantics,pragmatics and Chinese teaching,discussing the research status,content,significance,methods and ideas of the construction of“Neng VP1 Jiubu VP2”.After research,it is found that“Neng VP1 Jiubu VP2”is a common,frequently used,colloquial and marked contraction construction in modern Chinese,which has academic research value.The second part mainly starts from the construction itself of“Neng VP1 Jiubu VP2”,and the research contents are as follows:the proof of the structure of“Neng VP1Jiubu VP2”,the component analysis of the construction,the determination of the meaning of the construction and the analysis of the type of the construction.The third part is mainly based on the three plane theories and combined with relevant theories of semantics and pragmatics to study“Neng VP1Jiubu VP2”.The concrete analysis includes:On the syntactic level,there are three cases of“Neng VP1 Jiubu VP2”construction acting as syntactic component,singly forming sentence and acting as clause are discussed respectively.On the semantic level,it analyzes in detail the semantic features,semantic relations,semantic type of the construction of“Neng VP1 Jiubu VP2”.On the pragmatic level,the main research contents include the subjective analysis of“Neng VP1Jiubu VP2”,the analysis of logicality,the analysis of pragmatic function and the analysis of continuous use of the structure of“Neng VP1 Jiubu VP2”.The fourth part from the perspective of language teaching,discusses the status analysis and the teaching efficiency of the“Neng VP1 Jiubu VP2”in Chinese international education,and combining with Chinese teaching course in international education,this paper explores the application of research of the construction“Neng VP1 Jiubu VP2”in Chinese international education.It is expected to play a beneficial guidance and valuable reference significance for Chinese teaching.
