Since the release of the new HSK test outline and standards,the number of people taking the HSK test has increased year by year,and learners have gradually adopted the new HSK as the standard for testing Chinese learning results.The new HSK reading test accounts for 45%of the total questions,which plays an important role in the test results.This article selects the exercises in Developing Chinese Advanced Comprehensive Course and the new HSK Level 5 reading test as research object.This paper makes a comparative analysis from four aspects:question type,amount of questions,subject-matter,and required skills,and explores the optimized processing method of Developing Chinese Advanced Comprehensive Course in order to train students' ability to take new HSK reading tests while daily teaching.The introduction elaborates the significance of this thesis,the research status,research objects and methods.The first chapter of this article briefly introduces the new HSK Level 5 Reading Test and introduces exercises similar to the HSK Level 5 Reading Test in the Advanced Comprehensive Chinese Course.the new HSK Level 5 reading test is divided into three parts:Cloze filling,Short reading,and Reading comprehension.Exercises similar to the new HSK Level 5 cloze function in Developing Chinese Advanced Comprehensive Course are completed sentence filling and text word filling.Exercises similar to HSK Level 5 short reading in Developing Chinese Advanced Comprehensive Course include a small portion of reading comprehension.Exercises similar to HSK 5 reading comprehension in Developing Chinese Advanced Comprehensive Course include most of the reading comprehension.The second chapter of the thesis make examine and compare between the question type in new HSK Level 5 reading test and the question type of exercises that are similar to the new HSK Level 5 reading test in Developing Chinese Advanced Comprehensive Course.Investigate and compare the word analysis and word collocation relationship in cloze filling.Analysis and compare options'setting method.Analyze and compare the questioning method of reading comprehension questions.The third chapter of the thesis make examines and compares between the amount of the new HSK Level 5 Reading Test,and the amount of exercises similar to the reading function of the new HSK Level 5 reading test in Developing Chinese Advanced Comprehensive Course.In Developing Chinese Advanced Comprehensive Course,the amount of exercises similar to the cloze is the largest,but the training amount of similar exercises of short reading and reading comprehension is not enough.The fourth chapter of the thesis examines and compares the subjects of similar exercises in the reading function of the new HSK Level 5 reading test and Developing Chinese Advanced Comprehensive Course.Among them,the number of topics such as philosophical stories,Chicken Soup for the Mind etc.is very small;Most article with themes such as city scenery,history and culture are reading comprehension,which are inconsistent with the reading comprehension in new HSK Level 5.The fifth chapter of the thesis explores and compares the reading skills required for the new HSK Level 5 reading test and the reading functions that can be developed in the Developing Chinese Advanced Comprehensive Course.Among the Developing Chinese Advanced Comprehensive Course,the practice of each question type is relatively weak in the training of students' quick reading skill and skimming skill.Filling in the blanks of text words has less skill in identifying vocabulary means and grammatical means to determine the relationship between various parts.Short reading exercises lack the ability to summarize the central idea of the article and find the key sentences and keywords of the article.The sixth chapter of the thesis is suggestions for optimizing the similar exercises in the reading function of Developing Chinese Advanced Comprehensive Course.This article believes that teachers should appropriately increase the amount of short reading and reading comprehension questions.Set interference items and questions according to alternative setting methods or topic setting methods for exercises with similar functions.Add philosophical stories,chicken soup for the soul,city scenery,and history and culture,etc.Pay attention to develop students' skills such as quick reading and skimming.
