Vocabulary is the main component of language,the sign of truly mastering the language is being able to use vocabulary proficiently and accurately.The teaching materials are the basis for teachers and students.It is connect teachers and students.In this regard,The principles of vocabulary arrangement and the content selected in Chinese teaching materials for foreigners not only specify the contents of teaching,reflect the teaching methods,and assure the use of the syllabus,but also influence the quality of teaching and learning efficiency of Chinese for foreigners.Therefore should be appreciated the vocabulary content of Chinese teaching materials for foreigners.In view of this,this article chooses the widely used foreign Chinese textbooks Integrated Chinese(Level 1)and Development Chinese(Elementary Comprehensive).Compares the vocabulary parts of them,mainly from the collection of vocabulary and the level of vocabulary,vocabulary interpretation,and vocabulary exercises.Finally,the author made suggestions for the compilation of vocabulary for foreign Chinese textbooks.The main contents of this article are as follows:The first is the introduction.This part introduces the topic selection,research the subjects and methods,and reviews the current research status.The first chapter compares the aspect of vocabulary collection in the two textbooks.The number of vocabulary and the distribution of the vocabulary number of the text are respectively counted.It can be found that the number of their vocabulary is closely related to their respective class schedules,thus ensuring the amount of vocabulary teaching in each class.The second chapter compares the aspect of vocabulary level in the two textbooks.Comparing Chinese Proficiency and Chinese Character Level Syllabus,it can be found that they are mainly primary vocabulary,which reflects that the two textbooks pay more attention to the commonly used word.At the same time,super-class vocabulary also accounts for a certain proportion.The super-class vocabulary in the two textbooks are often common words with the characteristics of the times.The third chapter mainly compares the two textbooks from the perspective of vocabulary interpretation.Both textbooks use English for interpretation,and Integrated Chinese Level 1 is more in line with learners' language habits.The fourth chapter mainly compares the aspect of vocabulary practice in the two textbooks.The number and question types of vocabulary exercises in the two textbooks are relatively large.Among them,the vocabulary exercise design of Integrated Chinese Level 1 Part 1 is more practical and communicative,while the vocabulary exercise design of Development Chinese is more practical and comprehensive.Targeted and more suitable for exams.The fifth chapter is mainly based on the first four chapters and makes specific suggestions on the vocabulary compilation of Chinese language coursebooks for foreigners.The concluding remarks the advantages and disadvantages of the two textbooks in the above four aspects and indicate the shortcomings of this paper's research.
