The Visit To The Harbin Beer Museum Accompanies The Interpreting Practice Report

Nowadays,due to the existence of globalization,promoting Chinese culture and brands to other countries is an important mission,so interpreters can serve as a bridge of cross cultural communications.Therefore,the demand for escort interpreting is increasing.This report is based on the writer's interpreting practice of accompanying Mr.Stuart from Australia to visit Harbin Beer Museum.This report analyzes from four aspects based on practice corpus: task description,task process,case studies and practice summary.This report analyzes the recorded material of the interpreting practice,putting an emphasis on the case studies of the interpreting practice and finds some problems: speech perception,mistranslation of proper nouns,misinterpretation of characteristic vocabulary.Then the writer provides corresponding strategies.Finally the writer makes a self-reflection on and a summary of the interpreting practice.On the one hand,the writer hopes to improve her translation skills in the future;on the other hand,she hopes to provide some practical references for interpretation beginners in relevant fields.
