Interpretation Practice Report Accompanied By A Tour Of The Buildings On Central Avenue

This practice report is based on the author's practice of escort interpreting.The task was to accompany a foreigner,Ms.Anastasia,to visit the Central Street's buildings and its surrounding area.This report will introduce the interpretation practice from four aspects: task description,task process,case analysis and coping strategies,and accompanying practice evaluation and summary.This report will analyze the recorded material of the interpreting practice at Harbin Central Street,focusing on the translation difficulties encountered in this practice,and trying to find the translation strategies that should be adopted to obtain a more scientific and accurate translation.This practice involves mainly the understanding difficulty caused by the Ukrainian accent,the mistranslation of proper nouns and the improper translation of long paragraphs.The translation techniques of omission and amplification are mainly used to solve the problems.The paper provides a way for the author to better understand interpreting problems and gradually improve interpretation.And this report will be used as a comparative material.The author hopes to provide information for other interpreters and related research,and it can be used as a reference for interpreters.
