Objective:The theory of Chinese traditional medicine is summarized from the practice of traditional Chinese medicine,and relates to the sensory characteristics such as five colors and five flavors.This study explored the sensory characteristics of traditional Chinese medicine from the perspective of the color,odor,and taste characteristics of traditional Chinese medicine,and further searched for the compound sensory characteristics in the liver meridian.It also provides a reference for the quantitative characterization of the sensory characteristics of traditional Chinese medicine in terms of color,odor,and taste characteristics.And use the programming language to integrate the analysis process of the law of the meridian of traditional Chinese medicine and the sensory characteristics,promote the analysis and quantitative characterization of the law of the meridian and the sensory characteristics,and provide a reference for the digitalization of traditional Chinese medicine.Methods:1.Based on the 2020 edition of "The Pharmacopoeia of the People's Republic of China",this study sorted out and standardized the sensory characteristics of traditional Chinese medicine,including the description of color,nose smell,mouth taste,medicinal properties,and the five flavors of the classics.Use frequency analysis to explore the distribution rules of the color,odor,and taste characteristics of Chinese medicine in the liver meridian.2.Using the Apriori association rule algorithm to establish the"characteristic variable pair" of the color,odor,and taste of the traditional Chinese medicine,the sensory characteristics of the traditional Chinese medicine of the liver meridian are characterized by the combination of parameters.3.Based on the combination of color,odor,and taste,taking liver meridian traditional Chinese medicine as the research object,using scanners,gas chromatography mass spectrometry and electronic tongue to collect color,odor,taste data.Establish a quantitative characterization method among color,odor,taste,and liver meridian properties.4.Use python programming language to integrate relevant algorithms to establish the analysis process of rules among color,odor and taste characteristic and meridian of traditional Chinese medicine.Results:1.This study collected and sorted out the semantic descriptions of 609 traditional Chinese medicine including colors,nose smell,mouth taste,medicinal properties,five flavors,and meridian.The keywords of the description were extracted and standardized conversion was performed as characteristic variables.The characteristic variables were used to represent color,odor,taste,five flavors of medicinal properties,and menstruation characteristics are established.The characteristic variable set,referred to as variable set,is obtained,respectively,color variable set,odor variable set,taste variable set,five flavors variable set,and meridian variable set.The frequency analysis of the color,odor,taste,five flavors' characteristics of liver meridian herbs and the characteristics of the meridian is performed.The frequency analysis results of the color variable set show that in the liver meridian herbs,the yellow variable accounted for the largest proportion of traditional Chinese medicines,followed by brown variables.Among all traditional Chinese medicines,there are 104 Chinese medicines with three variables of blue,green,and cyan,and 61 traditional Chinese medicines belonging to the liver meridian.The results of the frequency analysis of the odor variable set showed that in the traditional Chinese medicine of the liver meridian,the proportion of qi was the most,followed by the slight fragrance.Among all traditional Chinese medicines,the medicines with smell variables of fishy,odorless,and smelly have 29 counts,7 counts and 8 counts respectively.Among them,the medicines belonging to the liver meridian have 23 counts,5 counts and 5 counts respectively.The results of the frequency analysis of the taste variable set showed that bitterness accounted for the largest proportion of Chinese medicines in liver meridian,followed by light taste.Among all traditional Chinese medicines,the traditional Chinese medicines whose taste variables are beany taste and salty taste have 1 count and 31 counts respectively.Among them,the traditional Chinese medicines belonging to the liver meridian have 1 count and 21 counts respectively.The results of the frequency analysis of the five flavors variable showed that bitter accounted for the largest proportion of traditional Chinese medicines of liver meridian,followed by sweetness.Among all traditional Chinese medicines,medicines with five flavor variables of salty and bitter properties have 54 counts and 311 counts,respectively.Among them,the traditional Chinese medicines that belong to the liver meridian have 38 counts and 174 counts.2.Use the association rule analysis method to carry out the association analysis on the color,odor,and taste variables of the liver meridian traditional Chinese medicine.A total of 11 sets of "combined parameter variable pairs" are obtained,respectively(salty,brown,fishy),(salty,salty taste,brown),(salty taste,brown,fishy),(grey,bitter,astringent),(sweet,bitter,light taste),(sweet,astringent taste,sweet taste,slightly odor),(sweet,gray,brown),(fishy,light taste),(yellow,pungent,slightly odor,green),(pungent,slightly odor,bitter,light taste)and(sweet,salty taste,fishy).3.In this study,digital scanner,gas chromatography mass spectrometer and electronic tongue were used to collect the color,odor,and taste information of traditional Chinese medicine in the liver meridian.The color,odor,and taste fingerprints of traditional Chinese medicine were constructed separately,and combined with "combined parameter variables pairs" represents the law of color,odor,and taste under different combinations of variables.4.Finally,this study uses python language to integrate the analysis platform of the color,odor,and taste variables of the liver meridian of traditional Chinese medicine,which can quickly complete the analysis of the five flavor characteristics of the liver meridian of traditional Chinese medicine,such as color,odor,taste,and medicinal properties.Provide reference for other researches on the relationship between liver meridian and the sensory characteristics of traditional Chinese medicine.And generate a two-dimensional code for the sensory characteristics of traditional Chinese medicine to provide a certain reference for the digital development of traditional Chinese medicine.Conclusions:1.The result of variable set frequency analysis shows that the color variable of liver meridian medicine is more likely to be yellow,the odor characteristic is slight odor,and the taste variable is bitter taste.It is not completely consistent with the saying that "green belongs to the liver,acid belongs to the liver".It is difficult to fully display the characteristics of the traditional Chinese medicine in the liver meridian with a single feature.It is difficult for a characteristic variable to reveal the regular characteristics of the traditional Chinese medicine in the liver meridian.So combined parameters of color,odor,and taste are needed to describe the characteristics of liver meridian of traditional Chinese medicines.2.The result of association rule analysis shows that there is a strong correlation between the "combined parameter variable pair" obtained after screening and the meridian of traditional Chinese medicine.3.Based on the "combined parameter variable pairs" obtained from the analysis of association rules,using information fusion technology,combined with the quantitative results of scanners,gas-mass spectrometers and electronic tongues,a quantitative characterization method between the traditional Chinese medicine of liver meridian and sensory characteristics is established.Sensory fingerprints of Chinese medicine in liver meridian are established.4.The color,odor,and taste variable analysis platform of traditional Chinese medicine can realize the correlation analysis of the traditional Chinese medicine in the liver meridian and the characteristics of color,odor,and taste,and generate fingerprints from the quantitative results to further integrate color,odor,and taste characteristics.Variables and quantitative results to a two-dimensional code for the sensory characteristics of traditional Chinese medicine,which provides a reference for the digitization of traditional Chinese medicine.
