Objective: Clinical effect of acupuncture combined with ICB orthotic insoles on lower limb motor function of apoplexy patients with foot prolapse and varus was observed. It provides a certain basis for the clinical application of acupuncture combined with ICB orthotic insoles in the treatment of foot prolapse and varus after stroke. Methods: The 90 patients who met the diagnostic and inclusion criteria were randomly divided into the acupuncture group according to the random number table method(hereinafter referred to as group A).ICB orthopaedic insole group(hereinafter referred to as group B);Acupuncture +ICB orthotic insole group(hereinafter referred to as group C),each group of 30 cases.Group A was treated with acupuncture, group B was treated with ICB orthotic insoles, and group C was treated with ICB orthotic insoles on the basis of acupuncture.Treatment was given once a day for 8 weeks,6days a week.Ankle-dorsiflexion,valgus Angle, lower limb motor function part of simple fugl-meyer rating scale(FMA),clinical spasm index(CSI)and 10 m maximum walking speed(MWS)were observed and compared before and after 8weeks of treatment. Results :(1)The experiment actually completed 89 subjects, including 28 in group A,30 in group B and 31 in group C.There was no statistically significant difference between the three groups in the general data of age, hemiplegic side, disease course and gender(P > 0.05),which were at the same baseline and comparable.(2)Compared with before treatment, the dorsiflexion and valgus angles of ankle joint in the acupuncture group and the ICB orthotic insole group were significantly increased, and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).Compared with the acupuncture group and the ICB orthopedic insole group, the ankleflex and valgus angles of the acupuncture +ICB orthopedic insole group increased more significantly, and the differences were statistically significant(P < 0.05 or P < 0.01).(3)Compared with before treatment, the clinical spasm index of the ankle joint in the acupuncture group and the ICB orthotic insoles group were significantly reduced, and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).Compared with the acupuncture group and the ICB orthopedic insole group, the clinical spasm index of ankle joint in the acupuncture +ICB orthopedic insole group was more significantly reduced, with statistically significant differences(P < 0.05).(4)Compared with before treatment,FMA score and maximum walking speed of lower limb in acupuncture group and ICB orthotic insole group were significantly increased, and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).Compared with the acupuncture group and the ICB orthopedic insole group, the FMA score and the maximum walking speed of the acupuncture +ICB orthopedic insole group increased more significantly, with statistically significant differences(P < 0.05 or P < 0.01).Conclusion: Acupuncture and ICB orthopedic insole can effectively improve the ankle function of patients with poststroke podioptosis combined with foot varus and promote the recovery of lower limb motor ability. However, acupuncture combined with ICB orthopedic insole has synergistic effect on the rehabilitation of lower limb function of stroke patients with hemiplegia, which may be a more ideal rehabilitation program.
