Objective: Through the observation for the clinical efficacy of electro-acupuncture at Yang meridians acupoints combined with warm the Yinqiao meridians treatment for the foot varus after having a stroke as well as the safety and efficacy of this therapy,a preferred solution for the clinical treatment is going to be provided. Methods: This study selected 60 patients with foot varus after stroke from Brain Disease K3 Ward,Rehabilitation Center,Affiliated Hospital of Liaoning University of Traditional Chinese Medicine during the period of October 2016 to February 2019.The patients were randomly divided into two groups: electro-acupuncture group(30 cases),electro-acupuncture combined with warm the Yinqiao meridians group(30 cases). Two groups of patients were given basic treatment of secondary prevention of cerebrovascular disease. On this basis, the electro-acupuncture group needled Yanglingquan,Xuanzhong,Yangjiao,Waiqiu,Zulinqi, and connected with the electro-acupuncture treatment, leaving the needles for 30 minutes. The electro-acupuncture combined with warm the Yinqiao meridians group was treated by electro-acupuncture combined with warm the Yinqiao meridians method, and the TDP was irradiated on the walking part of Yinqiaomai for 30 minutes. The treatment method of electro-acupuncture is the same as that mentioned above.Warmming theYinqiao meridians is carried out simultaneously with each electro-acupuncture treatment. Two groups were treated once a day, each course of treatment for 6 days, rest for 1 day, continuous treatment for 4 courses. The comparison of the curative effects, improvement of the Ashworth Spasm Scale and Holden walking function rating were observed before and after the treatment. Results: Foot varus treatment effect evaluation : the total efficiency rate of the group of electro-acupuncture combined with warm the Yinqiao meridians was 93.3% and the total efficiency rate of the group of electro-acupuncture was 80%.By comparison between the two groups, the result is P < 0.05,with statistical significance. The improvement of the Ashworth Spasm Scale: there was a significant difference in the degree of spasm between the two groups of patients before and after the treatment, the result is P < 0.05,with statistical significance;after treatment, the degree of spasm improved more significantly in the electro-acupuncture compared with warm the Yinqiao meridians group, the result is P < 0.05 and the difference was statistically significant.Holden Walking Function Grading Assessment: After treatment, the walking ability grading of the two groups was improved, the result is P < 0.05 and the difference was statistically significant;before and after treatment, the walking ability of the electro-acupuncture combined with warm the Yinqiao meridians group improved more significantly, the result is P < 0.05 and the difference was statistically significant. Conclusions: 1.The electro-acupuncture group was treated with warm the Yinqiao meridians method for the foot varus after stroke, the curative effect was significantly better than that group only treated with electro-acupuncture method.2.The method of electro-acupuncture combined with warm the Yinqiao meridians can effectively reduce the angle of the patient's foot varus.3.The method of electro-acupuncture combined with warm the Yinqiao meridians can effectively improve the walking ability of patients.
