| Iris van Herpen is one of the representatives of modern pioneer fashion designers.Today,with fast fashion,she actively explores the wearing value of new materials and technologies through cross-border cooperation with scientists,architects,3D printing experts,etc.,and insists on fashion design with an eye to the future.Designer’s choice and application mode of materials and technologies provide important ideas for the innovative direction of fashion design in the future.Iris van Herpen’s mature mastery of materials and technology is not achieved overnight.Based on Iris van Herpen’s design works,this paper analyzes the designer’s works from three aspects: material,technology and artistic form.First of all,the design process is summarized into three stages: "Breaking","Shaping" and "Flowing",which represents the transformation from pure experiment to practicality.Then,it studies the commonly used technical methods in Iris van Herpen design,and considers the application path of digital technology in fashion design.Combined with the discussion of materials and technology,the unique linear beauty in Iris van Herpen’s design form and the artistic expression of life and nature are extracted,and how cross-border brings innovation to designers’ sense of work form is analyzed.Finally,by summarizing the characteristics of innovative design in Iris van Herpen,this paper puts forward some thoughts on fashion development in the technological era. |
