Children are active learners,and books are important tools to help children learn about the world and other people.In recent years,children’s education industry has gradually attracted social attention and is in the stage of vigorous development.Children’s literature books and paper and picture books have become an important cultural product favored by the majority of children.Russian children’s literature book "Forest" has been deeply loved by Chinese children since its publication in 1954,with a total circulation of 40 million copies,which plays an important role in children’s literature books."To treat all the living beings on earth with us with a good-will attitude" is the theme of the newspaper.This is a guide to children to explore and close to the nature of the excellent science books.Therefore,this paper makes a practical study on the book design of the Russian children’s literature book "Forest Daily".Taking Forest Daily as the research object,this paper discusses the methods and ideas of how to make the book design more in line with children’s aesthetic cognition in the design of children’s books.First of all,the theoretical basis of this study is constructed through the review of relevant literature and the analysis of domestic and foreign cases.Secondly,according to the development rules of aesthetic cognition of children at different ages and excellent design cases of children’s books,the psychological characteristics of children consumers are understood and the aesthetic needs of the audience children are inferred.Thirdly,the paper investigates the color,font,illustration,typesetting and other elements of the book design of Forest News to clarify the positioning of the book design of Forest News.Fourthly,the book design practice of "Forest Daily" is to redesign the series of books of "Forest Daily" on the premise of grasping children’s psychological characteristics,so as to make the book design of "Forest Daily" more attractive,truly meet the aesthetic requirements of children,and stand out in the complicated market.Through the study on the book redesign of Forest Daily,this paper makes a research and practical exploration on the design of children’s literature books,and gives an empirical summary for such design methods.In theory,it provides a theoretical supplement for the design of such children’s literature books.It also provides a theoretical reference for the relationship between children’s aesthetic cognition and book design.
