Dolls are one of the oldest toys.Since the birth of the first clay dolls in Greece in the 15 th century BC,they have followed the footsteps of human history to this day.Ruth Handler created "Barbie" in 1959.So far,it has become a popular doll.By no means,the ball joint doll(BJD)has also been booming in recent years.It borrows the design concept of the Barbie doll and uses a spherical joint structure to allow to put out a variety of looks flexibly and changefully.In recent years,with the improvement of people’s living standards,dolls have become more and more popular.People can reflect their personality characteristics by wearing different styles of clothing for dolls.Although there are many kinds of dolls on the market today,most of them are imported.Local dolls with Chinese characteristics are few in varieties.Through combing the references,it is found that most of the research and development work on dolls at the present stage stays in the research area of design theory,and the content related to the production of dolls and their costumes is relatively lacking.Based on a large amount of practical work and previous studies,the author makes a comprehensive and systematic review of the historical background and development trends of dolls.Through the research of this topic,the author seeks out the correspondence between dolls’ costume modeling and Chinese cultural connotations.Through the carrier of dolls,the author not only want to let the world know China and understand Chinese culture,but also want to apply the image design of dolls,fashion design,industrial platemaking,mass production and other techniques to the production of enterprises to enhance the technological content of dolls enterprise.This paper focuses on the development process of nearly 100 doll clothing products with the theme of ancient Chinese costumes and Chinese national costumes,as well as its production skills and production techniques.It is hoped that the author’s research will play a certain role in promoting the design,production and development of dolls in China. |
