The Research About Tujia Costumes Fashionable

Ethnic culture is not only an important component of Chinese costume culture, but is a significant part of Chinese traditional culture. Its culture connotation is an essential part of global cultural diversity nowadays, which provides rich culture soil for our modern lifestyle. The paper selects Tujia as the research object, which is an ancient but young nation, and intends to examine Tujia in Southwestern Hubei. Its gorgeous and unique costume culture is a large material and spiritual wealth in Chinese culture and arts. At first, the paper analyzes the development history of Tujia costumes in Southwestern Hubei from their unique historical characters-pragmatic spirit and rustic aesthetic appeal, and then refines the special languages features from the traditional costume cultures.With the rapid progress of economic globalization and urbanization, Tujia costume cultures in Southwestern Hubei being treated with indifference as other traditional national cultures and facing with an inevitable trend of gradually recession. Therefore, this paper finds the stagnation of the development of Tujia costume culture in Southwestern Hubei, followed through analyzing its living situation. What is more, in order to satisfy the requirement of modern cultural diversity, it also analyzes its development tendency. However, it should grasp Tujia costume’s culture value that is regarded as the core and refine the language elements of Tujia traditional costume based on profound understanding of Tujia costume culture’s connotation and people’s lifestyle, and then get traditional costume cultures of Tujia in Southwestern Hubei together with modern design theories and methods harmoniously and surpass the confrontation between nation and modern through conveying visual images and new express ways. Finally, it can make Tujia costume language closely contact with international stage in fashion to achieve the goal of bringing it back to people’s daily lives.
