Research On Ancient Chinese Mazu Costumes

The Mazu faith began in the Song Dynasty and is a unique Chinese traditional folk culture formed during the long-term historical development of the Chinese nation.After thousands of years of inheritance and development,the Mazu faith continues to spread,and the number of believers is increasing.Chinese and overseas Chinese gather at home and abroad.The district has become the goddess revered by more than 300 million believers in 33 countries around the world.The study of costume art in Mazu belief is also an important aspect in the research field of Mazu culture,which contains many cultural factors such as folk beliefs and ancient Chinese costume design.Mazu statues,prints,murals and other artistic expressions have accumulated a large number of tangible cultural resources as a materialized carrier of the belief.Based on the perspective of imagery,this paper analyzes the costume art of Mazu three-dimensional statues and plane images,discusses the characteristics of Mazu statues in different periods,analyzes the changes of Mazu image and costumes in different art forms,and compares the officials and people embodied in Mazu costumes.And the elements of the emperor's costumes,choose Guanyin,the Xiwangmu,who are the same goddess with Mazu,and discuss the similarities and differences between Mazu and Guanyin,the image of Xiwangmu and the costumes,and explore the commonalities and characteristics reflected in Mazu's costumes and images,in order to make the field of Mazu art research.New exploration.
