Human activities have led to changes in the landscape pattern of bird habitats with the development of cities. Some bird habitats have become landscape types with high building coverage, such as factories and towns, causing habitat destruction of birds and changes in the composition and characteristics of bird groups. How do habitat types and landscape characteristics affect bird community composition and structure? This study took the coastal area of Dongfang,Hainan Province,as an example and used 3S technology, wild habitat and bird survey, and statistical analysis to study the impact of the habitat characteristics of this coastal area on the parts of bird communities. The main results obtained through the study are as follows:1.There are various land-use types in this area, and the landscape structure is complex. Therefore,we can divide the area into four kinds of ecological environment according to the information provided by remote sensing images and field investigation results: sandy tidal flats, muddy tidal flats, forest land, and agricultural land. The sandy tidal flat landscape has the highest fragmentation degree, while the woodland landscape has the lowest.2.The area is rich in plant resources artificial sand-fixing forests. The study records a total of 424 trees of 15 species. The trees are mainly casuarina, eucalyptus, eucalyptus, neem, etc.Their average width is 14.62 cm,average tree height is 12.27 m,and average crown width is 4.39 m.The number of tree species varies greatly among different habitat types.Meanwhile, the number and diversity of species in forest land and agricultural land are higher than those in muddy and sandy mudflat areas.3.There are various species of birds in this area. The study records 94 bird species belonging to 12 orders and 34 families.Passerines have the largest number, with 37 species in 18 families, accounting for 47.40% of individuals. There are 57 species of 16 families and 57 species of non-passerines,accounting for approximately52.60%.According to the type of residence, resident birds are the main component of forest land and agricultural land. The study records a total of 43 species of resident birds, accounting for about 45.7%.There are also a lot of winter migratory birds, and the study records a total of 34 species, accounting for about 36.2%.There are not so many summer migratory birds and migratory birds. They have 10 and 7 species, respectively, accounting for 10.6% and 7.45%.In terms of ecological types, there were 49 and 45 species of water birds and non-water birds, accounting for 52.1% and47.9%,respectively.Waterbirds mainly live in muddy tidal flat areas, while non-water birds mostly live in forest and agricultural land.4.Landscape structure and habitat types can affect the composition and structure of bird groups.Waterbirds were strongly associated with the area of water bodies and tidal flats within the habitat. In contrast,non-waterbirds were more sensitive to landscape fragmentation, and their diversity also has a strong correlation with the number of tree species. In addition, bird habitation patterns were correlated with landscape patterns.Winter migratory birds and migratory birds mostly live in muddy tidal flat areas. However, residents and summer migratory birds prefer to live in areas with low landscape fragmentation, such as forest and agricultural land.
