Left-behind children began in 1985,the concept of "Da Gong Chao",and then along with the social industrialization,urbanization and new urbanization construction,large flow of young adults become an inevitable trend that the number of rural left-behind children in the short term will not drop too little,so the rural left-behind children education problem is one of the important issues we need to face.For a long time,China has attached great importance to the education and protection of left-behind children.The Report on the Development of Rural Children in China 2021 emphasizes that the cause of left-behind children is not only about the growth of left-behind children,but also about the future training of new farmers,rural talents and rural prosperity,as well as the revitalization of rural areas.The reality of left-behind children in parents migrant background,school as the key place in the process of education,and how to promote rural left-behind children’s school adjustment,the party and the government has put forward and established a relatively comprehensive policies and regulations of the support system,but for the left-behind children’s school adjustment of micro level support,We also need to continue to actively carry out research and practice.The research object of this paper is 502 rural left-behind children from K County,Gansu Province.Questionnaire survey is the main method,supplemented by literature research and interview.Through questionnaire data analysis and interview results,problems existing in school adjustment and social support for school adjustment of left-behind children are determined from three aspects: left-behind children’s background,school adjustment and social support for school adjustment.The results show that left-behind children in rural areas have poor learning adaptation,poor behavioral adaptation and inadequate relationship adaptation.School administrative and peer support is weak,teacher support is inadequate,family learning and emotional support is weak,and communities lack resources and support systems.From the micro level of social support,the five aspects of school administrative support,peer support,teacher support,family support and community support are proposed to help leftbehind children in rural areas to establish a complete and powerful social support network,leading them to better adapt to the school environment and have a healthy and pleasant school life.
