Abstract/Summary:
Table tennis has always made a huge contribution to the building of China’s sporting career and is an international leader in terms of performance. The long term success of table tennis in China cannot be separated from the training of our competitive sports talent and the operation of the national competitive sports management system. As other international countries attach great importance to the performance of table tennis,China’s competitive table tennis programme is facing challenges and pressures, and there is an urgent need to cultivate excellent table tennis reserve talents and to establish a solid foundation for the protection of table tennis reserve talents.Universities,as key units in the training of national and social talent of all kinds, have an important role to play in the training of reserve talent. As an important part of training students in colleges and universities, table tennis special training delivers a large number of reserve talents for China’s competitive sports. How to improve the physical quality of table tennis special students in colleges and universities scientifically and efficiently with scientific training methods and enhance the technical level of table tennis becomes an important issue for colleges and universities to cultivate reserve talents for table tennis.Based on this, this study adopts an augmented training method and selects 40 table tennis special training class students from Jilin Institute of Sports as the experimental subjects for training, establishing two groups of students, the experimental class and the control class, the experimental class students use double-legged jumping-longitudinal,single-legged jumping-horizontal,single-legged jumping-rotation,cross-step to movement stance and other contents for augmented training, the control class uses basic pace exercises, physical exercises, table tennis skills The control class used basic stride exercises, physical exercises, and table tennis skill exercises, and explored the effects of augmentation training on table tennis students through literature, expert interviews, teaching experiments, and mathematical statistics. The following conclusions were drawn from the augmented training experiment and the analysis of the results:(1)the differences between the pre-experimental and control classes in lower limb explosive strength, agility and skill scores were not significant;(2)the differences between the pre-experimental and post-experimental classes in lower limb explosive strength, agility and skill scores were significant;(3)the differences between the pre-experimental and post-experimental classes in lower limb explosive strength, agility and skill scores were significant in the control class.(4)Significant differences between the experimental and control classes in lower limb explosive strength, agility and skill scores after the experiment.Overall, the enhanced training helped to improve the lower limb explosive strength, agility and ball skills of the specialised students, and the test scores of the skills tests were all improved compared to the pre-experimental ones.Based on the findings, this study makes the following recommendations:(1)rational use of augmented training methods;(2)focus on traditional strength training methods;and(3)pay attention to students’ psychological state of training. The study found that the enhanced training elements such as double-legged jump-longitudinal,single-legged jump-horizontal,single-legged jump-rotation,and cross-step-to-movement stance have an important role in promoting the explosive power, agility and skill level of the lower limbs of table tennis students, which is important for improving the overall training level and motor skills of table tennis students.
