Abstract/Summary:
The accumulation of human capital(the appreciation of human capital)is a key factor for economic growth and an important driving force for the steady development of society. As an important driving force for regional economic growth, the redistribution of population resources among regions will affect the economic The quality of development and the rate of growth have a profound impact.Data from the 7th National Population Census Bulletin shows that my country’s floating population has exceeded 370 million, including about 120 million interprovincial floating population and 250 million intra-provincial floating population. At the same time, with the rapid advancement of urbanization and the popularization of higher education, among the nearly 400 million floating population, the proportion of the new generation of highly educated floating population is increasing. This group is dominated by "post-80s" and "post-90s".Compared with other migrant subgroups, they have higher educational attainment, more independent ideas, and better human capital, and they are also more competitive in the labor market. In this context, various cities and regions have introduced policies on talent introduction. However,it is worth noting that although the talent introduction conditions given in some regions are very good, there is still the phenomenon of frequent job-hopping and even the outflow of talents. The introduction of talents has not completed all the work of "introducing talents".Whether the introduced talents can be retained,so that the introduced talents can have no worries, are willing to stay for a long time, and do their best for the development of the city,it is necessary for the relevant policy makers to spend The energy to think about the important things. Therefore, under the current policy background,it has strong practical and theoretical significance to explore the employment stability and long-term residence willingness of the new generation of highly educated floating population,a group of floating population with special value. On the basis of summarizing and reviewing the existing results, this paper uses the data of the 2018 National Floating Population Dynamic Monitoring Survey(2018CMDS data)to conduct a descriptive statistical analysis on the basic characteristics and employment stability characteristics of the new generation of highly educated floating population; The factors affecting employment stability are studied from three aspects: characteristics, economic characteristics and mobility characteristics;on this basis, the logistic model is used to take the employment stability of this group as the core independent variable to explore its influence on long-term residence intentions. Then, according to four aspects: region, gender, urban and rural areas, and industry, the impact of employment stability on long-term residence intention is classified and analyzed.Through empirical research, this paper draws the following conclusions:(1)Judging from the overall characteristics of the employment stability of the new generation of highly educated floating population: more than half of them have stable employment, and there are obvious regional differences in employment stability.(2)From the perspective of the demographic characteristics of the employment stability of the new generation of highly educated migrants: gender factors cannot lead to significant differences in the employment stability of the new generation of highly educated migrants;marital status and household registration An important factor for the differences in the employment stability of the educated floating population.(3)From the perspective of the economic characteristics of the employment stability of the new generation of highly educated migrants: the nature of the unit and industry are important factors that lead to differences in the employment stability of the new generation of highly educated migrants;(4)From the perspective of the new generation of highly educated migrants From the flow characteristics of the employment stability of the floating population: the scope of flow has a significant impact on the employment stability of the new generation of highly educated floating population;economic reasons are the primary factor for the new generation of highly educated floating population to move out, followed by family reasons. The eastern region is the first choice for the new generation of highly educated migrants to move out, followed by the western region, and the northeast region the least.(5)From the perspective of factors affecting the employment stability of the new generation of highly educated floating population: the marital status and the nature of household registration among the demographic characteristics have a significant positive impact;among the economic characteristics, the personal monthly income and family monthly income have a significant positive impact.Positive effects;labor hours and monthly housing expenditures have significant negative effects.Private ownership of the unit and other properties have a significant negative impact on employment stability;among the mobility characteristics, the mobility range, mobility reasons and mobility areas have different effects on employment stability.(6)Judging from the impact of the employment stability of the new generation of highly educated migrants on their longterm residence intentions: employment stability has a significant positive impact on their long-term residence intentions, even by region, gender, and urban and rural areas. The difference isn’t that big either. From the perspective of different industries, the employment stability of the new generation of highly educated migrants still has a significant positive impact on their long-term residence intentions, but there are differences in the significance level tests passed by the three industries.
