It can be seen that the population mobility has become increasingly active since the reform and opening up,in which more and more people are moving from underdeveloped regions to developed regions. What's more, what The Report on the Development of Population Mobility in China(2018)points out is that the size of China's group of population mobility reached 245 million in 2017,which accounts for 18 percent of the total population. At the same time,it is equivalent to one in every six people for the population mobility. As a result,it has become a universal social and economic phenomenon for population mobility, which also has gradually become the focus of attention from all walks of life.Furthermore, the simple inflow of labor has not been able to meet the needs of the rapid development of the city with the social and economic development entering the new normal and the end of the demographic dividend era.It can be seen that highly educated people are gradually becoming the new impetus and core competitiveness of urban development. Thus,it has become an important issue for local governments to think about for how to attract more highly educated talents. As a result,it studies the effects of employment status and housing burden on the residence intention of the group of population mobility with higher education in this paper, which also probes into the influencing factors of the long-term residence of the group of population mobility with higher education. It is hoped that the study can provide the policy reference for the government to retain the highly educated talents, which also hopes to provide the reference for the group of population mobility with higher education to decide whether they live the city they move into for a long time.In this paper,it studies the influence of employment status and housing burden on the the group of population mobility with higher education by using the dynamic monitoring data of the group of population mobility of the State Family Planning Commission in 2016,which is carried out on the basis of the push-and-pull theory.First of all,it starts from the basis of the theory, which systematically introduces the push-and-pull theory, selective theory and human capital theory,so as to lay a theoretical foundation for the study of this paper.Secondly,it explains the status of distribution, employment and residence as well as the residence intention of the group of population mobility with higher education respectively, which provides the data basis and reference basis for the empirical analysis of the fourth part of the paper. As a result,it verifies the reliability of the empirical results from the point of view of data.It makes the empirical analysis on the basis,in which the Logit model is used to study the influence of employment status and housing burden on the residence intention of the group of population mobility with higher education. And the first in the results shows that the residence willingness of the group of population mobility with higher education is greatly affected by the employment status and housing burden. In addition, the ability of employment, employment stability and social security have positive effects on the residence intention in employment situation. It can be seen that the effect of housing price growth rate on residence intention of the group of population mobility with higher education is "inverted U-shaped" in terms of housing burden,in which the proportion of housing expenditure to other total expenditure and the nature of housing have positive effects on their residence intention. As a result, the empirical results demonstrate the hypotheses 1 and 2 of the study.Secondly, the highly educated group of population mobility of agricultural household registration is more sensitive to the quality of employment than non-agricultural household registration as far as the regression results of the nature of household registration are concerned. While the inflection point of housing price growth rate that starts to inhibit the residential willingness is higher than that of agricultural household registration for the non-agricultural household registration group of population mobility with higher education.Thirdly, there exists differences between the results of different classifications and measurements in the sub-sample.It can be seen that the impact of different urban scales, different affordability of urban housing, different nature of household registration of the group of population mobility and different types of cities cause the difference on the residence willingness of them to stay for a long time. However, the regression results of the sub-sample econometric model are similar to those of the whole sample econometric model. Finally, some relevant policy recommendations are put forward in this paper according to the conclusions of the study.
