This study is based on the dynamic monitoring data of floating population in 2012,2014 and 2015 and previous census data since 2000,using geographic information technology and logistic regression analysis to analyze the long-term residence intention of floating population and its influencing factors.Regional and provincial comparisons. It is found that the long-term residents' desire for inflows in the northeast and central regions of China will increase, while the long-term residents'inten-sibility to stay in the eastern and western regions will weaken, and the proportion of indecisive individuals will increase. The regression analysis results show that the long-term residence of the floating population in China is affected by multiple demographic, economic, social, and psychological factors, which are manifested in the flow of education for women, younger age, marriage, and higher education(high school and above). The long-term residents'willingness to stay is higher;family expenditures are higher, occupations are more likely for employers,self-employed workers to choose long-term residence;and more than five years have been inhabited in the inflow area, agricultural accounts, and health records flow in residential communities in the inflow areas. The population tends to stay longer;the migrant population without a sibling in his hometown has a higher long-term desire to stay. Finally, taking Zhejiang and Jiangxi provinces as the entry point, the differences in the influencing factors of long-term residence of influent populations in different regions are further analyzed, and based on these conclusions, targeted suggestions for improving the long-term residence intention of inflowing populations in different regions are proposed.
