Objective: Astunga Yoga,as a new force in physical education and health class,may need to be further improved to improve students’ health and physical fitness.In this experiment,through the exercise intervention of Astanga Yoga for 12 weeks for female college students,the comparison and analysis of the test index data before and after the experiment,and the comparison and analysis of the data between the experimental group and the control group after the experiment,this paper studies how Astanga Yoga affects the healthy physical fitness of female college students,hoping to contribute to the improvement of the healthy physical fitness level of college students from both theoretical and practical aspects.Methods:Through the methods of experiment,interview and literature review,this study recruited 30 female students from Grade 18 of School of Sports Journalism and Media of Xi ’an Institute of Physical Education as experimental subjects,and tested their body composition,muscle strength,muscle endurance,flexibility and heart and lung endurance,and they were randomly divided into experimental group and control group.Fifteen students in the experimental group were given 12-week Ashtanga yoga intervention,three times a week.The control group of 15 people only did routine study and life,and did not do any physical exercise.After the 12-week intervention,the data obtained from the experiment will be analyzed by SPSS statistical software.Paired sample T test and independent sample T test will be used for intra-group analysis and inter-group analysis,respectively.Research results:(1)Body composition: After 12 weeks of Astanga Yoga intervention,the weight of the experimental group decreased by 2.81%,BMI decreased by 2.89%,body fat percentage decreased by 9.1%,visceral fat grade decreased by 14.35%,and skeletal muscle increased by 6.2%.The paired sample T test showed that there were significant differences in weight,BMI,body fat percentage,skeletal muscle and visceral fat grade(P < 0.01)Visceral fat grade has extremely significant difference in independent sample t-test comparison between groups(P < 0.01),and body fat percentage has significant difference in independent sample t-test comparison between groups(P < 0.05).By analyzing the five groups of data,it can be concluded that there are extremely significant differences(P < 0.01).(2)Muscle strength: After 12 weeks of Astanga yoga exercise intervention,the squats on both sides of the experimental group increased by 21.67% in 1RM,and there was a significant difference in paired samples T test within the group(P < 0.01),and there was a significant difference in independent samples T test between groups(P < 0.01).In the experiment group,the 1RM bench press increased by 25.74%,and the T test of paired samples in the group showed a significant difference(P < 0.01),while the 1RM bench press between the two groups showed a significant difference(P< 0.05).There were significant differences in the grip strength between the left and right hands of the experimental group(P < 0.05).By analyzing the three groups of data,it can be concluded that there are significant differences(P < 0.05).(3)Muscle endurance: After 12 weeks of Astanga yoga exercise intervention,the kneeling push-ups in the experimental group increased by 28.63%,and there was extremely significant difference in paired samples T test within the group(P<0.01),and extremely significant difference in independent samples T test between groups(P< 0.01).The leg-bending sit-ups in the experimental group increased by 11.04% in one minute,and there was significant difference in paired sample T-test within the group(P<0.05)and extremely significant difference in independent sample T-test between groups(P < 0.01).Analysis of the data of the two groups shows that there is significant difference(P < 0.05).(4)Flexibility: After 12 weeks of Astanga yoga exercise intervention,the forward flexion of the sitting body in the experimental group increased by 27.34%,and there was extremely significant difference in paired samples T test within the group(P<0.01),and extremely significant difference in independent samples T test between groups(P < 0.01).The experiment group’s back extension test increased by17.45%,and there was extremely significant difference between paired samples T test within group and independent samples T test between groups(P<0.01).By analyzing the data of the two groups,it can be concluded that there is extremely significant difference(P < 0.01).(5)Cardiopulmonary endurance: After 12 weeks of Astanga yoga exercise intervention,the estimated maximum oxygen uptake of the experimental group increased by 4.6% at 12 minutes after the experiment,and there was significant difference in paired sample T test within the group(P < 0.05)and significant difference in independent sample T test between groups(P < 0.05).The step-by-step experiment index of group B increased by 5.43%,and there was a significant difference in paired samples T test within the group(P < 0.01).By analyzing the data of the two groups,it can be concluded that there was a significant difference(P <0.05).Research conclusion:(1)Ashtanga yoga exercise intervention can reduce the weight,body fat percentage and visceral fat grade of female college students.(2)The exercise intervention of Ashtanga Yoga can improve the muscle fitness of female college students,increase the maximum strength of upper and lower limbs muscles,and increase the endurance of core muscles.(3)The intervention of Ashtanga yoga can effectively improve the flexibility of female college students.(4)The intervention of Ashtanga Yoga has improved the cardiopulmonary endurance level of female college students. |
