Today's fencing competition is not only a contest between athletes' physical fitness and technical tactics, but also a contest of psychological quality. With the continuous improvement of the level of science and technology, the technical movements, training level and physical fitness of athletes are getting closer and closer, but the results of the competition are often very different.Psychological factors are an important reason. An athlete's competitive psychological quality has a great influence on his performance in the competition. In high-level sports competitions, the competitive psychological quality has a 70% to 80% effect on the result of the competition. Therefore,in the past 10 years, sports psychological skills training has played an increasingly important role in sports teams. Many sports psychologists provide psychological interventions for high-level sports teams. One of the trends.Research purposes: In this study, rational emotional therapy was used to intervene in athletes' pre-match emotions,to explore the influence of rational emotional therapy on athletes' pre-match emotions and mood states,to help athletes improve their pre-match emotions and mood states, and to improve sports performance.Research method: This study adopted a multiple baseline level ABA design within a single subject group, where the first A was the pre-test phase,B was the intervention phase, and the second A was the post-test phase.Intervention for more than 2 months, including a 2-week pre-test phase collection,a 5-week rational emotion therapy intervention phase, and a 2-week post-test phase.Using "Pre-match Mood Scale-T" and "Short Form Mood State Scale POMS" as measurement tools,it mainly compares the changes of the subjects before and after the intervention.Research results: The pre-match emotions of the four athletes were tested by rank-sum correlation, and it was found that the individual failure anxiety P=0.048,and the social expectation anxiety P=0.048,showing a significant decrease.P=0.068 for physical anxiety and P=0.109 for self-confidence,so physical anxiety and self-confidence did not show significant changes.Secondly, the mood scale of four athletes used the percentage PEM that exceeded the baseline median to test the effect of the intervention method.Among them, two athletes have PEM=1,one athlete's PEM=0.6,and one athlete's PEM= 0.4.It shows that rational emotion therapy has a certain effect on improving the athlete's mood state.Research conclusions: The effect of rational emotional therapy on athletes' cognitive level of anxiety intervention is more obvious.By changing unreasonable beliefs, athletes' individual failure anxiety and social expectation anxiety are significantly reduced, but the effect on athletes' self-confidence and physical anxiety is not Significantly. The rational emotion therapy can improve the athlete's mood state to a certain extent, and reduce the athlete's pre-match emotional disorder value.
