The cultivation of the working spirit of young students has always attracted much attention in countries all over the world.In 2018,General Secretary Xi Jinping clearly stated at the National Education Conference that "we must promote the spirit of work among students,educate and guide students to uphold and respect work,and understand the most glorious,noblest,greatest,and most beautiful work.Being able to work hard,work honestly,and work creatively after growing up",this fully reflects the great importance of the Party Central Committee with General Secretary Xi Jinping at the core of promoting the spirit of work,and highlights the importance and necessity of cultivating the work spirit of college students.As the builders and successors of my country’s socialism in the future,college students in the new era are the future of the country and the hope of the nation,and they shoulder the historical responsibility of realizing the Chinese dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.However,research shows that college students have "weakened labor concepts,degraded labor habits,and softened labor attitudes" to varying degrees.Therefore,it is very important to strengthen the cultivation of the working spirit of college students in the new era.Based on this,the article comprehensively uses literature research methods,comparative research methods,questionnaire surveys,interviews and other research methods to comprehensively explore the theoretical basis,historical basis and realistic basis for the cultivation of college students’ labor spirit in the new era,and in-depth analysis of the current status of college students’ labor spirit,Emphatically studied the main manifestations of the inadequate working spirit of college students and the main reasons for their weakening,and strived to put forward effective countermeasures for strengthening the cultivation of college students’ working spirit in the new era.Therefore,the article has very important theoretical and practical significance.From a theoretical point of view,it has supplemented and developed the concept of labor and labor spirit to a certain extent,and has enriched and expanded the research content and form of ideological and political education in colleges and universities.In practice,it can provide a valuable reference for colleges and universities to strengthen the cultivation of college students’ labor spirit,educate and guide college students to form a value consensus and behavioral awareness of loving labor and advocating labor,which is conducive to cultivating newcomers in the era of comprehensive development of moral,intellectual,physical,and artistic.The research content is mainly concentrated in the following three aspects: First,through the definition and analysis of related concepts such as labor,labor spirit,labor spirit and labor spirit,college students’ labor spirit,etc.,the new era college students are analyzed from three levels: theory,history,and reality.The basis for the cultivation of labor spirit is systematically sorted out and analyzed to provide a theoretical foundation for the comprehensive development of this research.Second,through questionnaire surveys,interviews and field investigations,the five dimensions of labor concepts,labor attitudes,labor emotions,labor behaviors,and labor habits were investigated to understand the status quo of college students’ labor spirit,and proposed and demonstrated the relative weakening of labor concepts.Inadequate working attitudes,gradual weakening of labor emotions,lack of labor behaviors,and undeveloped labor habits are the main signs of the lack of labor spirit of college students.It has been discovered and analyzed that the reasons for the weakening of the labor spirit of college students are mainly derived from the development and changes of the times.Insufficient labor cognition and superior growth environment have led to the dilute labor awareness of college students,the utilitarian value orientation,and the marginalization of labor education.Thirdly,tentatively thinking about the countermeasures to strengthen the cultivation of the working spirit of college students in the new era: First,it is necessary to highlight the position of the cultivation of working spirit in the "five education simultaneously",the position in the establishment of morality in universities and the ideological and political education The second is to improve the curriculum system for the cultivation of labor spirit,the coordination mechanism of school,family and society,the guarantee mechanism of teacher funding and assessment and evaluation;the third is to build a classroom teaching platform,labor practice platform and online education for the cultivation of labor spirit Platform;the fourth is to strengthen the cultivation of college students’ working spirit through the construction of campus culture,employment and entrepreneurship education,and extracurricular activities.
